  1. All my neighbors move away.? (these emojis suck)
  2. Did that instigator call fall within the time window that calls for the automatic suspension, which is immediately followed up by the automatic rescinding of said suspension?
  3. My jersey is waiting for me on my bed when I get home!
  4. Marrone confuses me. He's an offensive guy, but it's always strong or elite defenses that have made his teams go. I want to think he's probably a guy who hires and delegates with his defensive coordinators, but he's definitely always been given a ton of talent on that side of the ball.
  5. Why are they even asking him about another team's policy?
  6. I guess I never looked all that closely, but I just assumed they were using that same somewhat boxy font that has pretty much always been used with hockey.
  7. As long as it's not some other school in that immediate area (as I say this, I realize we actually have 2 of the other 3 schools covered).
  8. Are they not able to use the actual number fonts in these posts. The rounded numbers look so awkward to me. Sadly, I worry that I just gave some fuel for the "Sabres social media sucks" thread.
  9. Don't worry, it didn't go over every poster's head.
  10. If that's the full list, this would actually be the first time ever for three 100 win teams from the same league. Every other one was a 2/1 split between the AL/NL. Each of those post-1998 lists definitely do not have two teams from the same division. KC and the Yankees definitely weren't in the same division in 1977, so that one passes the cut too. It doesn't look like they had divisions back in 1942, so I guess that year technically squeaks by too. So yes, it's the first time ever for both scenarios I mentioned... assuming wikipedia is accurate on that one.
  11. Is dark looking for work? It would be nice to have a sleeper agent on that team. I'm surprises to see them lose two. It's pretty much always going to take injuries for a goalie to be claimed, since they need to stick in the NHL after the claim. So it's a bit of a rarity to see that sting the same club twice, or to even have three potential backups all on the same roster.
  12. Looking over the standings, does anyone know how often there have been two 100 games winners in one division, three in the same league? I'd imagine two in one division was a bit more common back in the 4 division days.
  13. I'm amazed that people continue to fall for this act over and over.
  14. We should be first in the priority order for waiver claims, right? I'd be curious to see if any other team placed a claim.
  15. I hear that Allen Iverson has something to say about this...
  16. It's been a very long time at this point, but we as Sabres fans should have a good understanding of how valuable that guy can be.
  17. How many of these hits do we really see on a game to game basis though? I'd say it's fairly rare and not something that impacts the game all that much if removed.
  18. I was this close to spitting coffee on my monitor. As for the trade, there's pretty much one of these every year. AHL depth for AHL depth. I really don't expect much of anything to come from it for either team.
  19. You thought it was, and it was at one point. But those days are gone. As I've said, they've been very clear about it. In this day where they're so aware of what head injuries can lead to, there is no way they can let it happen anymore. Games evolve. I know where you're coming from, but I suggest that you get used to it because these types of calls/suspensions are not going away.
  20. It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks of this or if it’s similar to a hit from over ten years ago. Over the last couple seasons, the NHL has made it very clear that these type of hits need to go. They have been very consistent with it. If Wilson continues to ignore that, he will find himself out of the league.
  21. Right, but that's the actual wild card game. Imagine having to play two games extra games (163 and 164) just to get into that wild card game. So for that, you'd have to have the second place team from the NL east currently tied with the Rockies and Dodgers.
  22. And don't they count that extra play in game in the standings? I wonder what they would do if that game altered the wild card standings. For some reason I feel like I remember there being one case where there was a play in for the division crown, and then the loser then had to follow that up with a play in for the wild card. It's possible though that I'm just insane and making up a crazy scenario.
  23. Taro, you always seem to be up on these little details. Do they need to get the roster down to 23 before they can assign people to IR, or is that just required when it comes to being under the cap? I ask because I wonder if you might see the situation where one of the kids is assigned to Rochester in just a paper transaction, and then immediately recalled.
  24. When it comes to Chara, it seems like most of the time when he gets into a scrum with other players, his hands immediately go up into their face. It may very well be a product of his height, but I've definitely seen it a lot from him. I won't label that as a cheap shot, but I can see how it might cloud people's image of him.
  25. They have specifically stated that they want those blindside hits removed from the game. It was legal in the past, but it isn’t anymore. That’s just the way it is.
