  1. We have an odd section of the neighborhood that is completely inactive for what seems like 100% of the time. Once you go beyond a specific point, every single house never has any lights on, and from what I heard last night, they were all closed for business. It's really odd. These houses all closed right near the middle of the building process, so it's not like they were the last houses to be moved into. For whatever reason, all of the lame people just happened to move into the same block of houses. It's just a shame that they're not all in one cul-de-sac but are instead in the middle one road that forms a giant circle. So you have to go past that section to get to other parts.
  2. Down here, most people sit outside and then hand out the candy. I'm sure it's just a weather thing, but it's definitely far more social than it was up north, at least in my little corner of Boston (the good one in NY, not the land of massholes). We wound up with less people than I expected. It's so unpredictable because we're in new construction and the number have been increasing each year for obvious reasons. This was the first year where they neighborhood was 100% complete (for at least 6 months or so), so I would have expected the biggest turnout yet. Plus the weather was super comfortable. We didn't get any overflow from surrounding neighborhoods though, except maybe one family, which really surprised me. They're about to start building a new neighborhood that does connect directly to us, so next year will be yet another unpredictable year.
  3. I'd have to imagine there's a long uphill battle when it comes to proving any of this. I wonder if she has any text messages or anything.
  4. The first guy to congratulate him did have the gold helmet. So there's at least three different ones out there. I feel like I'm watching a youth hockey clip.
  5. One of my neighbors was joking around about how he needed to keep on scaring people after he and his daughter left our house. At that moment, I looked around and saw nothing but toddlers and thought "please no". He's not the type to even consider trying to scare them, but still, the thought of a bunch of toddlers screaming all while in my front yard was a little too much for me.
  6. There's nothing worse than the couple pushing around their infant son and still taking candy from each house. Even better, they didn't have anything even remotely resembling a costume on that kid. I don't really care since I need to get as much of that candy out of my house as possible, but that's an incredibly tacky move.
  7. It’s heavy character development in season one and then balls to the wall the rest of the way.
  8. I got an error message that said he wasn't able to receive them. So if yours went through, you at least got one step further than I did.
  9. @nfreeman apparently it isn't possible to send you a PM on this board? Is that because you're a mod?
  10. Are you actually able to stop after watching just one episode? There's no way I could do that.
  11. My neighbor who conducts mammograms was talking about how aging has some very bad effects on people who get implants. So you probably made the right decision by passing on your implants.
  12. Could you imagine all the fun they would have had up in Toronto if Phil Kessel's last name was Skinner?
  13. What if I leave your label at just overreacting and humorless? I'm not really sure what I might say it about, but I want to make sure I hold onto as many future options as I can.?
  14. The personalized at bat or pitcher walk out music is so ripe for pranks. I've never seen it done, but since it's such a long season I'm guessing it does happen. There was a specific Red Sox pitcher back during their first world series run who was always wearing camo (no, not bloody sock) and I always wanted someone to switch his walk out music to "It's Raining Men", just to see how he'd react.
  15. It took me a second to realize that it's the Punisher logo, but still, it looks like the Sabre logo is leaning over and bleeding.
  16. What tipped you off??
  17. I've posted this one a couple times, but since it's a different type of stupidity than most of what's in here, I'll post it again. The first event after Red Auerbach died in whatever they call Boston's arena now was a Sabres-Bruins game. Right before the anthem, they had a moment of silence for Auerbach. Seconds into that, some idiot yells out "Buffalo sucks!", and then it quickly snowballed from there. A moment of silence for one of the biggest sports legends your town has and you can't even make it 5 seconds. That sums up Boston perfectly.
  18. Next week looks to be very high on imagery. It may very well be the perfect point for people who want to stop watching. Did you spot a certain someone in the scenes for next week?
  19. I've never been a horror fan. I know they have such a huge following, but it has never done anything for me. About the best I can come up with is the ones that take a comedy angle on the whole thing. I don't even want to call them horror since they're probably more of an action-comedy... movies like Army of Darkness, Zombieland, and Shaun of the Dead. You can sign me up all day for that style of movie. And I've never really thought of it as a Halloween movie, but since it's been on tv constantly over the last few weeks, I'll mention Beetlejuice.
  20. If I were the other guy, I'd refuse to pay on a technicality. They played 6 games.
  21. I saw First Man this weekend. It was ok, but I felt like it jumped through the timeline a little too quickly. Not a single character from the NASA side of things was likeable at all. Well ok, there were a couple, but you really didn't want to be those guys (hint hint).
  22. If he’s out for an extended vacation, I bet a certain unsigned RFA suddenly gets a contract.
  23. Just about the only reason to call anyone up would be if Buffalo and Rochester are going to be far apart for an extended period of time. Obviously the Sabres west coast road trip just ended so one half of that equation is taken care of. You'll know the Amerk schedule far better than I would.
  24. Nope, you have to be under 27.
  25. Yeah, but Curry's not a rookie, so it doesn't matter.
