  1. Gasoline fights, of course!
  2. I'm not 11, but I played him on tv. I'm pretty sure I heard recently that DWAI is treated the same exact way.
  3. I'd imagine so many of these writers are used to that though. It's new at the snews, but things as a whole have been going that way for a while now. Just about every single one of those writers had to have gone through it while they were breaking in. Hopefully the more seasoned have learned a lot from it and adapted to that lifestyle. I've been fortunate and haven't had to deal with that type of employment setting, but I'd imagine there's a whole hell of a lot of people out there who can relate to it.
  4. Last night I noticed there was a praying mantis hanging out on the frame of my front door. This morning when I left, it was still there. But this time I realized it was standing directly over an egg sac of some sort. I know they're great for killing so many pests around the house, but I think I'm going to have to destroy this one. With that location, there's not going to be any way to keep them out of the house. Also, after seeing the eggs, it immediately made me think of that mantis' poor mate. I don't want her giving my wife any ideas.
  5. Yeah, pretty much everyone does that.?
  6. It would essentially be a side gig for him, right? It doesn't necessarily count as something I'd call unforunate.
  7. They went too far with the "GRIT" movie poster. All they needed was a couple balloons in his hand in the picture above and they would have already nailed that one.
  8. What's your time window for allowing them to get used to each other? Ideally it clicks right away, but when was the last time the ideal actually happened for anything Buffalo Sabres? Since Eichel and Reinhart should know each other's games very well at this point, I would think that cuts a couple games off of the "getting to know each other" phase.
  9. Well yeah, obviously she’s be bringing anything she confiscates with her to the show.
  10. So what you’re saying is that all Rasmuses look alike?
  11. Are they really comparables though? They're all Swedes coming out of the same league, but the hype train is off the charts with Dahlin. I'm willing to consider Hedman, as he was very highly hyped, but Karlsson falls a few rungs lower on the ladder. I don't think it's unreasonable for people to expect a bit more from Dahlin than those guys provided. Wishful thinking, maybe, but definitely not unreasonable.
  12. I'm not saying he's wrong. The limited performance may match the preseason as a whole, but that's not guaranteed. I haven't really heard that much variation on Smith, but it seems like it's been there for others, like say Nylander.
  13. You're drawing conclusions from strange places today, which seems a bit out of character. Earlier it was breaking up a linen based on very limited preseason experience and now it's judging Smith based on only one game. I realize most people, myself included, haven't seen much so far, but are you some sort of imposter posing as Flagg? Is eleven up to his crazy fake username games again?
  14. There's a bit of a trend with each of these forwards. They're each a little older, but at the same time have spent less time at the pro level. They're all college, a fact I'm sure people could have some fun with. It looks to me like they're still toying with the possibilities of the younger guys and also holding onto the waiver eligible players until the last second. I wonder when they start to slim down the blueline.
  15. You know you can delete it, right?
  16. I think I may have just narrowly escaped a nice workplace injury. I was at the bottom floor of the stairwell reaching for the door when it suddenly flew open and some jackass came running through (I think he was a courier). If I had been about one step further I'm guessing that door probably breaks my arm/wrist/hand. I wonder what the company would do about that since technically they didn't do anything wrong.
  17. This isn't an all or nothing situation. They're not going to send down every single kid so that they don't have to place a single one of the older bubble guys on waivers. There's going to be some mix of that. As important as a quick start might be, it's still an 82 game season and the asset management is huge over the long haul.
  18. That sure does sound like a guy who is seriously being considered for sticking with the big club, giving him expanded roles in the preseason to see exactly what he can do.
  19. You should have kicked the least liked of the 5 out (it was you, wasn't it??). Have them trade spots or something.
  20. So you've taking being a grammar nazi to a new level? I'll remember to choose my words better in the future. Here, I'll give it a shot: This list of players says absolutely nothing about the depth of the Buffalo Sabres organization. I hope that one's better. Just remember, when you read that, be sure to go with the Canadian pronunciation of "organization". We're talking about hockey here, so it just feels right.
  21. I was going to say do the players care about the players, but you pretty much beat me to it.
  22. You only get to the leap of faith if you realize that Jehovah starts with an I in Latin. Wait, who am I kidding? Allen wouldn't have to step on every single letter because he'd just leap over that trial as well.
  23. So you're not a big fan of the ECHL roster? These players say absolutely nothing about Sabre depth.
  24. Are there even a handful of NHL contracts in that group?
  25. They should have embraced all things Philly and made the mascot a giant 9 volt battery.
