I feel like your entire message here is that it's flawed because people misinterpret or misrepresent it. How exactly is that on the writers? There's only so much they can do if people won't take the time to actually read it themselves. And no, the data is not flawed, it's the misrepresentation that is the issue. Again, it's tough to fault the authors for people being stupid. Hell, that right there sounds like a perfect reason to conduct further research into head injuries.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that. But that's how everything works now. Stuff only comes to light if someone's trying to sell something. I'm much more worried about how it gets spun and who is doing the spinning. This stuff gets bastardized in the public eye all the time. I'm much less worried about the public's force-fed interpretation of these results and just hope that the more knowledgeable people in the medical community are dealing with it properly.

All I can think of is how working out with Gary Roberts was all the rage around here years ago.

Bouncyball, not shooty hoops. Next you'll try to claim that Sabre fans in Carolina like to punch babies. I will not stand for this blasphemy.

The op ed suffers from the same exact thing as all the coverage of the original paper. Not once have I ever actually heard what their actual message was, just the constant reporting of the same numbers over and over. I suspect the the message was that it is something that needs to be investigated further. That's pretty typical for something like this. How the media chooses to run with it is another story all together. The line in the op ed accusing the authors of trying to bury the limitations of the study is pretty comical. That is something that is always listed in the discussion section of a paper, which is always at the end. To suggest that it was done deceptively is itself deceptive.

Come on. Who hasn't charged the field years after graduating? I'm actually planning on doing exactly that later this week.

Is it the credit card's policy or the lottery's? I stopped to buy some food earlier and threw in one ticket. It's too bad there isn't some leeway in the policy because obviously that's not the kind of purchase for someone who plans on buying a ton of tickets with no intention of ever paying off the credit bill.

This is Lynn's second season as the coach in San Diego. Last season they finished with the same record as a Bills. I'm comfortable calling that year a wash when comparing the two. So really, you're down to a 5-2 season vs a 2-5 season. I need to see how that plays out before I crown one guy over the other. The whole grading process right now pretty much boils down to one side poorly handling a QB situation that the other side did not have to handle.

Why can't you buy a lottery ticket with a credit card?
-
Yeah, I was thinking that while I posted it. But I can at least pin my hopes to the fact that they can at least remember a world without Lebron James.
-
I feel like you need to allow a little more time for this one. Lynn hasn't done anything yet. He needs to keep this season in gear and then I'd say it's worth the question. The QB thing though? Yeah, that's definitely a huge factor.

I like how all the kids go for a James jersey (I'm assuming he's 23), but the old guys actually have some sense of individuality. Now if only those two had found a way to go with Jordan jerseys, that would have been good for a few laughs.

Has Jack found 1 of his long term solutions at wing, Jeff Skinner

And he was the 7th overall draft pick on 2006. He was expected to be good as opposed to 9th rounder Moulson. -
Well there's one hell of a premature statement.

Who gets the half goal? Ok, of course it's McDavid.
-
And what about captain Eichel? He's so selfish that he can't get past his Boston-born Laker hate and get out there with his teammates? Selfish bastard.

They probably do have to decide whether to order more white or blue Dahlin jerseys for the Sabre store.
-
They currently have two spare forwards, right? I really don't see any reason to call anyone up... unless there's an injury, then I'll just delete this and back away quietly.

Almost run off the road two separate times by morons who decided to just take my lane while they were directly next to me. Than an extra hour on the commute probably due an accident probably caused by one of those two people. That's always a great way to start a day where you're waiting on some important news.
-
Two more games on the road trip and then it'll be time to see if they'll actually do anything. They're going to avoid transactions while out west unless absolutely necessary (ie. injuries).

I've been going back and forth on that one. His head does turn slightly. I can't really tell though if that's a glance towards the puck or not.

Vegas born? That's an odd tag when the two guys mentioned are from Quebec and Ontario. Any why don't they yell that one like they're yelling the rest of the post?

If there can be two NHL teams in Canada named the Canadians (yes, I realize how I spelled it), they can name a hockey team anything. It's not quite Rough Riders vs. Roughriders, but it's close. And before you get excited inkman, I'm not suggesting naming a women's team the rough riders. Seriously though, yes, I'm not crazy about the name either. Actually, it kind of reminds me of naming a mascot Gritty.

Once we get to the point where you're not longer allowed to touch any player on the offense, you pretty much have to focus on making interceptions, right?

Take a look at the Amerk stats. These guys' number are pretty heavily skewed towards the powerplay (Olofsson 7 of 12, Pilut 7 of 10). In fact, all of the top scorers on the team have very PP-favored numbers. That doesn't really scream NHL ready or production that is going to help the Sabres score goals. There's still a lot of work to be done here with these guys. edit: From a numbers perspective, I'm definitely keeping eye on Nylander with 7 points in 6 games, but only 3 on the PP. That may very well be of more use to the Sabres shortly, especially with the extra years of experience on this side of the pond.
