He's fortunate that it's only a groin injury. If Mario dropped the bridge out from under me and I fell into lava, it sure as hell would be a lot more than just a groin injury.

Comparing how often that word was used when I was 14 to 16 years later when he used it, I'd say things have definitely been moving in the right direction. So if they're talking about a change in culture, it's been in motion for a long time now.

I'm glad I was going northbound on the highway this morning and not south. A bus hit a car and causes a 5 car chain reaction collision. Fortunately it looked to be very slow speed because there wasn't much damage. Still, the traffic was backed up for about 10 miles on that side of the road because it's only 2 lanes. There's going to be some very hostile people in certain offices this afternoon when they finally get to work.

I have no problem with the so called vigilante justice, but it needs to be done within the confines of the game. Lucic clearly did not do that.

It seems like AMC has a new business model. Right on the heels of them announcing those plans for the Walking Dead, a story comes about about Breaking Bad. It's no coincidence.

They connected the players to the driver. With all the crazy things that people sue over in this country, you'd have to believe anyone considering going after an Uber driver would also go after Uber itself.

Hockey players from Ottawa in Arizona? I'm not so sure that counts as public figures. More people out there probably know who I am and I've never even set foot in that state.

I don't have to sit through political ads in the morning after today. It doesn't get more awesome than that. It's too bad though that they'll come back with a vengeance.
-
The guy isn't, but is uber? Not that it really matters though. I can't imagine it being worth any of these players' time to pursue it.

I'm asking for a friend. (where's the damn ninja emoji when you need it)

This is a new one. Doctor conducts a test and then give you bad news. The doctor then leaves the room, reviews the previous chart, then comes back and essentially says nevermind. That's enough to confuse most people. I suppose it probably sits with a person better to get the gut punch first then follow it up with positive news as opposed to the opposite order.

Well if you want the zombies to be a threat, you may have to stick with it a little longer because that's exactly where it's going.

Auto-correct is a plague upon humanity.

Hopefully he gets his way and the league starts calling all dives.

I forget exactly when South Park the Fractured But Whole came out, but this is at most the second game I've bought all year (yes, I caved and bought it today). So yeah, I'd laugh anyone out of the building if they called me a game. I pretty much only buy franchises I'm used to, the ones that typically only put out one game every 3-5 years or so.
-
I'm the exact opposite. If I'm going to buy a game, I buy it right away when it comes out. I'm going to cave later today and grab this one, so I think that still qualifies. The only time I'm not buying something right away is in the first couple years of a new system. I've always waited on buying the new system until there was a game I absolutely had to play.

These always seem to be the types where I wind up playing until 3am. Doing this one last thing in the next half an hour turns into "ok, I'll check out this place too", turns into "oh crap, I think the sun is coming up".

There are only so many places you can get implants before the wallet is emptied.

And anyone who suggests that Rodgers could have played more during those first couple years clearly does not know the ego that is Brett Favre.

5 goals and 10 assists suggests that it's not the finishing portion of his game that is thriving the most right now. If that is his strength and it's what you want him to bring, more time in the AHL will probably bring that out of him. The stats suggest that his points right now are probably coming from setting up Redmond. Could this potentially help to kick start the scoring of a Mittlestadt/Reinhart/Okposo, maybe, but it doesn't sound like that's the kind of thing people would expect from him. Now if you were to suggest bringing him up to spark the powerplay, that might be a bit more interesting. I can't see them doing that though. The last thing they want to do right now is to stunt his growth. There's a greater chance of that if he's called up for middle of the lineup shifts right now. They're going to play the odds and keep him where he is right now, hoping that player of the month turns into player of the quarter/half season.

Is it still the 1940s up there in Nova Scotia?

Ahhhh the crap I can't get into here.

I'll cave and buy it once I get to a random moment of boredom. I want to play the game so badly, but I will put if off for a while because I don't really have the long stretches of free time that I know I'll be spending on a game like this.

I've had a nagging situation with my neck since the spring. I just recently started PT for it and had a pretty crazy massage yesterday. I know it'll be better after a while, but it's amazing how my neck is so tender right now that even just my collar touching the back of my neck hurts like hell.

We have an odd section of the neighborhood that is completely inactive for what seems like 100% of the time. Once you go beyond a specific point, every single house never has any lights on, and from what I heard last night, they were all closed for business. It's really odd. These houses all closed right near the middle of the building process, so it's not like they were the last houses to be moved into. For whatever reason, all of the lame people just happened to move into the same block of houses. It's just a shame that they're not all in one cul-de-sac but are instead in the middle one road that forms a giant circle. So you have to go past that section to get to other parts.
