  1. Are you a fish fry person? I’d be curious to see if they’re as bad in Charlotte as they are in Raleigh. They don’t quite understand that it’s supposed to be crispy and not a soggy mess.
  2. Yeah, but hockey's been married for a while now, so fights are pretty rare.
  3. Quite honestly, I expect that penalty to become larger eventually. In this day and age of concern over concussions, I don't know how they're going to be able to let people punch each other in the face and then play again later in the game. Now I know that some will say that it can't be done, but just look at the NCAA. That's a high level of hockey that gets along just fine without it. Yes, it still happens, but they do it knowing that a steep punishment is coming their way.
  4. Wayne, Gordie, and Bobby?
  5. Yeah, but he missed out on his prediction of nothing but net.
  6. Looking back on this, I thought I had posted it in the random thread. It was in now way awesome. Those pats fans are so easy to set off if you want to. The persecution complex they have is crazy.
  7. Not that I'm expecting anything from Buffalo, but are their any of the bigger fish left out there on the market at this point?
  8. Your party sounds a bit more authentic than theirs. It's more of your typical party food as opposed to the corned beef. The Guinness on a nitro tap is a nice touch though. If you've ever been to Tapline, those folks set them up with it. The one downside to all of this for this weekend though is that my mom set up a memorial mass for my dad on Saturday at 5. I can't really bail on that, so I have to leave the party very early (hopefully I get back later) and can't really enjoy that nitro tap.
  9. Sounds fortunate to me actually. But anyway, someone in the area buy this man a beer! I passed on this one a while ago. I'm not wasting money on a product that I know I'm not going to enjoy. My neighbors are having their annual St. Patrick's day party anyway. It's the superbowl of parties in this neighborhood.
  10. Sadly this list doesn't include their previous team, but you'll find plenty. It's all going to depend on your definition of "made an impact". The recent part will also be somewhat limited since the list requires 100 games played. Edit: And now I found this column through google which specifically describes a few.
  11. It's an Amerk contract. Nothing to see here.
  12. It sounds like you were one of the lucky ones to miss out on the Wolverine origin movie and their use of Gambit. Only one good thing came out of that movie and it was the mid-credit scenes in Deadpool 2.
  13. They've certainly been busy. I don't have the slightest clue who any of these guy are at this point, but then again, I've officially reached the point where I wouldn't recognize a single Bills player if they were to knock on my door right now.
  14. I'd worry a bit about the subjectivity of such a rule. For the obvious words, sure, no problem. But there will be cases that could get into a bit of a gray area. And as for the bolded, I'm all for finally eliminating the misuse of their/they're.?
  15. I've never really understood the point of projecting a lineup prior to the draft, knowing significant change is still to come.
  16. Wait a second. All these years later and they're missing out on their chance to finally sign Taro?
  17. Thank you Al Gore.
  18. I'm currently busy looking out the window at a bunch of chem trails all while sipping on a glass of fluoridated water. What were you saying again?
  19. It's a smart move. Even with where Marvel is right now, I usually find the individual movies far more entertaining. Infinity War is a wasfferent story, but that one had 10 years and over 15 movies of buildup. You need to play a full season before you get to the super bowl.
  20. He then came within inches of getting his face caved in by Skinner's stick. At that point, it's best to just get out.
  21. They showed a video like this on the news down here earlier in the winter. It must have been that one in Maine that you mentioned. It was a very rare moment where the news was actually informative. The weather woman pretty quickly explained exactly what was happening. All I know is that it makes me think of the bed on Austin Powers' plane.
  22. I think it's a safe bet that you'll see him back in a sequel at some point. The Kree are in very different shape between this movie and Guardians. It's kind of interesting that for once, Marvel is actually following the pattern DC has laid out with Wonder Woman, a series of movies played out in the past.
  23. Burning a year off the contract is typically more for the underclassmen. These college UFAs, most of the time, are already old enough where burning off a year doesn't actually change anything. My ATO question was specific to the currently exempt guys. I'd imagine that if guys like that are called up to the AHL, they do it on ATOs so that the team can retain their roster flexibility. A roster of 46 vs. 48 really can change your immediate plans significantly.
  24. The stick has to catch him in the head at some point during all of that. At the very least, there's a high stick in there. You don't often see someone throwing a hit with their stick nearly vertical.
  25. Does this include the two exempt guys currently in juniors? I guess I've never actually considered what happens to the roster size if they're given a shot in the AHL at the end of the season. I'd assume they'd give them ATOs so that they stay off of the 50 man roster.
