  1. That's Kane sitting in the front row? No Schlitz? That's wild.
  2. Dahlin Power Samuelsson Bryson Johnson* Pilut* Sure, why not add another? 🙃
  3. IF they go after him, both Adams & Granato, 1 of whom who has actually had extensive experience seeing him every day and the other has likely spoken with him as it's hard to believe their paths haven't crossed on occasion, will have decided that the pros outweigh the cons.
  4. Wonder if the selections were made simply to get the Buffalo fanbase up in arms and clicking through. Rightly or wrongly, Buffalo fans in general have a reputation for taking the bait.
  5. The majority of that was assists. So, could see him with Skinner, Olofsson, or Peterka on the other wing. (Not all preferentially play LW, but imagine they'd be willing to make it work playing w/ 2 playmakers.)
  6. Would imagine the Thompson clan will have quite the shindig. 😉
  7. By HIS standards, it was a horrid game. He gave up 4 goals on the 1st 7 shots. As you said, at least 2 of those were bad and he normally would've stopped 6 of those 7. Yes, he got better as the game went on. But, whereas Ward worked though the butterflies in the 1st 5 minutes of the game, it took Vinc nearly the entire 1st half. And unlike game 2 where Vinc was often hung out to dry in the 4th, his D did a good job limiting high danger chances and shots throughout. Goaltending was the difference in the game and arguably the series. Had you said that would be the case heading into the Finals would've agreed that it would. But did not expect it to be a difference maker for the Mammoth.
  8. If they did have Kane, would be more inclined to put him w/ Mittelstadt leaving the Thompson line alone. LH C vs RH C. Not sure who would go on that other wing. +/-'s for any of Olofsson, Krebs, Asplund, or one of the kids there. (Hinostroza too if he comes back.) Probably an academic exercise anyhow.
  9. Nice shirt, but why 1970 on it rather than 1940 when it opened or 1996 when it was closed? (Can see not celebrating it being demolished.) Heck, 1971 makes more sense than '70 as that is when the roof was raised. Was the artist a closet Braves fan? 😉 🍺
  10. IF a trade were to happen, don't see the Sabres giving up any more than what they did in '18 to pick up Skinner. That was Pu, a 2nd rounder in the next season's draft & a 6th rounder the year after that. So, w/ that being the benchmark, it would be something like R2 Rou2 or Biro, the Vegas 2nd, & a 6th or 7th in '24. IF that's all they give up or they give up even less AND they're comfortable on the character questions, then fine. Will get them to the floor w/ no questions about later in the year & won't deplete any non-replaceable assets that fit into the LT future.
  11. You do realize that only a small fraction of the guests at the Ren Fair dress up for it, right?
  12. Interesting stat. Who has the stronger juju? Maroon or Perry?
  13. What do you have against mead, turkey legs, and women highlighting their cleavage?
  14. 21 internet only games: 18-3. 3 broadcast TV games: 0-3. Faaaaaaaaack. They simply couldn't solve the Mammoth D & Ward. And Vinc had 2 of his worst games of the year in these last pair of games. Still not sure how Frazier's goal got overturned. There sure did appear to be a thin sliver of dark between his foot & the crease. In a game where Ward was playing so well, that was huge. Mammoth beat the Bandits 3 times this year out of 4 games. Did not see that coming, but Colorado earned it.
  15. Yeah, not sure why he's pumping up Joisey's rubbish so hard.
  16. The LTIR space is kind of artificial as he's never going to play and he wasn't on the roster when he actually was playing. $7.8MM in & $7.8MM out. At the end of the day it still nets out to $0.
  17. A link to the actual 2014 CA Proposition 47 follows. Looks like the AP recap is a fair interpretation of it. https://www.courts.ca.gov/prop47.htm
  18. He stepped back from the game some when his wife was battling cancer and that sort of thing often has a tendency to cause people to see "big picture" sorts of things as does having kids. If Wikipedia is reliable in this one instance, he's also run a goalie camp for ~20 years. He had an opportunity to help lay a foundation properly & influence both UPL & guys like Dahlin. Why WOULDN'T the 40 yo want that given his background?
  19. @LGR4GM, Echoing others' thoughts for your dad. Hope he recovers from whatever ails him quickly.
  20. So Chychrun wasn't a finalist for that pick? Interesting.
  21. Let's hope so.
  22. Well, really am hoping we see Granato juggle the lines a bit based on what the opponent's strengths are. We all seem to romanticize the Roy-Afinogenov-Vanek line, but Roy spent a fair amount of time on Drury's wing & Connolly centered it some. There were other tweaks as well at times. They aren't seasoned enough to give the top teams fits, but they'll have enough skill, if not necessarily grit (though there are a few gritty players that an contribute), to go from a balanced 4 line rolling team looking to wear the opponent out to a 3 line strong 1st line, strong checking line, match up 3rd line v 3rd line make sure no line is overmatched squad as situations dictate. And that flexibility can help take a lot of teams out of their game. Get a defensive C, a Hinostroza or better to help mix & match the middle 6, a D to make Power's 20+ minutes a game a consistent net positive, & a real goaltender and with a bit of luck on the health side (which they seem due for) and this team will surprise some people.
  23. And it'll be on TSN in Canada according to the NLL Website.
  24. Not listed on any of the ESPNs on DTv yet. But last week's game was listed as College Softball even during the game, so that in & of itself doesn't mean much. But the NLL Website says the game will be on ESPNU at 8PM on Saturday the 18th.
  25. Oh, it could probably take up a thread of its own. Add Nylander to the list as well.
