  1. Past hour
  2. The biggest laughingstock failure in all of sports?
  3. Blue Jays win the AL East pennant! Europe wins the Ryder Cup! It's been a good day.
  4. What situation are we in, exactly?
  5. We are in this situation as the biggest disaster of an organization in league history largely because of "Five Years Down The Road" thinking. Ignoring the present directly leads to not having a future.
  6. Lecyshyn and Geertsen aren’t going to make the Sabres. Seen enough of both of them in Vegas/Henderson to know that neither are going to make any sort of difference,
  7. Today
  8. Spencer Brown was clearly missed. Both of the 1st 1/2 sacks were likely due to him being out - the 1st one Jordan simply abused Van de Mark and the other one, Torrance got caught cheating too much to his right expecting to need to help Ryan and the stunt left him in no man's land. The good news is that apparently they were close to having Brown play today so he should be in against the Cheats next week. And, getting 31 points in a game where you were awful for an entire 1/4 without getting any particularly short fields until the very end, even against a bad team, is pretty impressive. As for the D stinking against the run, hopefully getting Hoecht into the lineup will help with keeping RBs to get the outside. Bosa's a great pass rusher, but he wasn't quite there on at least a couple of long Kamara runs. And the other guy hopefully will help too.
  9. With Samuelsson injured, real good chance for Johnson to start the year in the top 6. Actually prefer that to Jones taking that slot all things equal as Johnson's still on the upswing and Jones is what he is.
  10. Winning ugly. Not our best and win by 12. Meanwhile, the Chargers... the media darling, lose to Jaxon Dart in his first NFL start. Go Ravens.
  11. I think that's pretty extreme. The cap is going up but so will ALL the salaries. 10 million is still a lot for him. Peterka signed with Utah for 7.7 . He's younger, he had 68 pts. Tuch had 67. Now you can argue that Tuch brings leadership and other factors but to get from 8 to 10 is a lot. If it's 8 years that makes him 37 at the end of it. Since they are still negotiating I'm assuming there is no hometown discount in play. The right number for Tuch is 8x8. That overpays him in the last 3-4 years but it's fair since he's valuable now. The because it's the Sabres overpay number is 9x8. So this is the number where you say win for the Sabres win for Tuch. 10x8 or anything higher will help close the Sabres window before it's barely open a crack. Bad idea.
  12. Got to love the easy wins. GO BILLS! Chargers lost and now we watch the Colts.
  13. Bills making NO look like a contender. Yeesh.
  14. No matter how good you are you just can't replace Bryson.
  15. Putting a player in the appropriate league based on their ability is not rushing them. Whether he's 18 or 22 is irrelevant if he can play in the AHL.
  16. I actually like what we got back better. Doesn’t change my point.
  17. Development is about dominating at an appropriate level not surviving at a higher level. Why does everyone want to rush prospects? Pro sports is littered with high picks being ruined by being rushed too quickly. He is a young 18 year old with less than 50 games of junior experience. Let him cook.
  18. Great series there. Cook. It’s not rocket science.
  19. Cook is going to regret signing that contract.
  20. Agreed. Getting off script.
  21. That Bishop interception is going to be all over the highlight reels.
  22. Being 2nd line D wouldn't be the worst thing. He could play a lot and dominate in juniors or he can be challenged by better competition.
  23. Agreed, I would have jammed Cook, Davis down their throats all half, wore them down. Instead, 2 out of 3 unnecessary sacks.
  24. He's shown an ability to play with pros. I don't understand why playing 30 minutes in a lesser league is better for his development instead of 20 minutes in a better league with better coaching
  25. Send him to Seattle. Let him play 30 minutes a game and dominate. No need to have an 18 year old Dman in the AHL. He hasn’t even played a full junior season yet.
  26. Worst quarter of the season. The playcalling is abysmal. Oline is a sieve. TE’s uninvolved and Cook doesn’t get the ball.
