  1. Past hour
  2. This will be my first look at Komarov and Novikov, as well as Mr. Tka (Mrtka)
  3. For out of market peeps, game will be on NHL Network at 2 am ET
  4. I doubt more than a few Blue Jackets who played last night, will be in the line-up tomight. If that.
  5. Lovely little arrogant touch at the end with the small print "you're welcome". MSG has some of the worst coverage of hockey... there's nothing "welcome" about it.
  6. And almost all kids and newbies. Just three from last year's Sabres roster, four of you count Kozak. I guess the "A" roster will play at home Tuesday.
  7. Columbus beat St. Louis 4-1 last night at home. The Blues were playing their second road game on a back to back. The Blue Jackets will end up playing three nights in a row with these next two against the Sabres.
  8. Then go find a good team to follow, unless you prefer being miserable.
  9. That is a very tall defensive lineup.
  10. Yup. Their defense is pretty good. They went up and down the field yesterday but 5 turnovers killed them and they still almost won the game. Not going to be a walk in the park.
  11. I would add that Good teams also spend enough to max out their salary cap…..and even many bad teams as well.
  12. Today
  13. Kesselring says he wants to play meaner. Ok. I accept that. The Sabres are highly scoffable. Good teams would shake off a bad start and pull it together. Goods teams would find a way to stop a 13 game losing streak from happening. Good teams are not out of the race at Christmas. Good teams don't miss the playoffs for 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 years. Good teams actually improve year over year. Good teams win at home and on the road. Lots to scoff at and the fans "pay the bills". The fans here are some of the best fans the Sabres have. They can scoff with impunity in my opinion.
  14. I didn’t know Jeff Skinner signed with San Jose.
  15. Is this the clip where he says the girl's name under his breath -- in response to her appearing on screen -- but before she actually says her name? Man, I effing lost it when I watched that live.
  16. F: Justin Danforth, Josh Doan, Joshua Dunne, Mason Geertsen, Konsta Helenius, Tyson Kozak, Peyton Krebs, Jiri Kulich, Beck Malenstyn, Noah Östlund, Jack Quinn, Anton Wahlberg D: Bowen Byram, Michael Kesselring, Vsevolod Komarov, Radim Mrtka, Nikita Novikov, Owen Power G: Alexandar Georgiev, Devon Levi The bubble plus Byram and Power. No Johnson hmm
  17. Vets slowly shake the rust off, rookies and prospects try to show something. Its an opportunity for a few players. Similar to football and baseball.
  18. Fair assessment. We will revisit this in April and see how Power did. I want you to be right and I want to see it this season. Right now he is a big defenseman that does not have a physical game, has offensive skills are offset by his inability, or perhaps unwillingness, to play good defense. This could be the year, or he may not take the step we are looking for until 25, so we get his bottom 6 years. That means others have to be better and play more minutes.
  19. It's only preseason, but NHL preseason to me is more enjoyable than most other sports. It'll be something tangible to watch and discuss.
  20. Happy Equinox! Sabres hockey is back! No roster info yet. Stay tuned!
  21. No he didn't. He decided to take and keep them. Lindy Ruff and Kevyn Adams are both on record as saying Ruff can change out his assistants. I think the only one Ruff is stuck with is Appert.
  22. You do. It’s directed at the fanbase you are part of instead of the team.
