  1. Past hour
  2. To answer my own poll, I'd say I want them to win tonight, but tonight's game might be the biggest swing game of the season in getting me to change my vote. If they lose tonight, it's going to be really hard to look anything positive at this season at all. But let's say they win tonight, by multiple goals, and look really good doing it. I'll be able to convince myself, at least temporarily, yeah, they can turn this around.
  3. I'm just curious where everyone is on this right now. Ultimately most of us want the team to win but... I can understand some people wanting as many losses in a row right now, because they think that this team will never be good without major changes, and we need to get to those changes quicker. Can't see themselves to ever root for a loss ever. I just thought a poll might be interesting to see where we are right now.
  4. So the Rags shutout the Sabres then turn around and become the first team in NHL history to be shutout in all of their first 3 home games. Make it make sense. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/rangers-become-first-team-to-be-shut-out-in-first-three-home-games/
  5. I was having a good morning until I realized there was a game tonight. Just thinking about Sabres Is deflating. Whatever the opposite of momentum is, that’s what I have when I think about them
  6. Looks like we have our first abandoned team. Waratahs had an active roster with players on bye and IR.
  7. Today
  8. I’ll be there rooting for team chaos.
  9. Stats speak louder than words. Only thing giving hope for a win is OTT gives up a ton of goals and their PK is almost as bad as our PP. A stoppable force meets a movable object tonight!
  10. I blame the fans that still go to the games and still have season tickets.
  11. Another thing I don't understand is this statement that Kulich "might get scratched" and he has to be better. He's a 21 year old kid. Why is he being publicly shamed? Ya, he has not been good, but he's a 21 year old kid. They never did this to Quinn or Peterka or Cozens. Not this early. Not like this. You really think that's how you build a culture where players want to be here? If I'm Kulich I'm heading the Peterka route first chance I get. and just to be clear, I'm not saying that he shouldn't be scratched, just that they shouldn't have announced it as he might be.
  12. Crazy....This song got me started on drugs.
  13. The losing culture since Terry has owned the team runs so deep, it’s a massive job to pull out of it. The guys who score goals here up and leave or get traded and you can’t backfill those goals. Good free agents will never come here. The D and goaltending has been lousy for years,,, this year ok so far. But can’t score.
  14. Well that's just it though isn't it? On other teams players are held accountable. There are veterans that set the level of expectation for the new players and players have to buy in. Cultures live and die with their veteran leadership. The Adams idea of "growing together" is like putting everybody on a ship and saying "Okay guys, figure out how to sail it". How can a captain be expected to know how to navigate these things when he came in here from a foreign country at the age of 18 and has never experienced winning in the NHL? That's not to say it's his fault in any way, but there simply is little to no veteran leadership on this team and hasn't been for a really long time. People talk about Tage's comments and again, it's not all on him, but the comment is flawed and wrong. It's so called positivity and "I don't want to dwell on the past" and "it's only 3 games" and that's just loser talk. The comments should all be we sucked, I sucked, we have to work harder and be better. The so called leaders have to lead on the ice and drag others into the fight, but there's literally no fight in this team. Ruff has no answers because they simply aren't doing what he tells them to do. He can't coach these players as a group. I don't think anyone can. They've assembled a bunch of guys who just play for their money and don't care. The standard should be about winning but in Buffalo it's "who cares, I can just get traded away and then care if I have to".
  15. A couple of thoughts: 1. Damn, a lot of us are pretty old to remember this 🫤 2. Those Sabres could probably play as well now as our current roster. 3. All local commercials by pro players have sucked for a long time. Cheesy as F***! 😀
  16. Lots of ex-Sabres in that lineup.
  17. If Kevyn Adams is promoted, I may just give up my Sabres fan card. You don’t spend 5+ years as one of the worst GM’s in NHL history, only to get promoted. That is the definition of insanity. 😡
  18. Is is time to resurrect… GO BILLS AND TAKE THE SABRES WITH YOU!! 🤔
  19. The Sabres need their "Major League" moment. Maybe the whole lot of them need glasses to see the puck better? A cardboard cutout of a nekked GM Howdy Doody, except they get to put clothes ON IT when they win.
  20. For those that don't know, the drummer in the first moments of this video, is the late great Ted Reinhardt. It was an honor to have watched him play. Buffalo music hall of fame inductee and he could play with anyone on this planet. His work with George Paleo in the band Gamalon is some of the best WNY music ever produced. You tube it, you won't be disappointed. Ted's brother Willie is a legendary Buffalo guitarist as well.
  21. Just watched Caps beat the Bolts in OT. It was intense playoff like hockey already. Man, the Caps are a heavy team.
  22. That's a separate conversation and I agree it was a bad contract, hence I said you couldn't get more in a trade. We're a desperate franchise that has to take risks like that sometimes. That one was a bad one and it's compounding with Norris hurt.
  23. Omg Bob Halkidis! Ric Seiling, Jeff Parker, Ritchie Dunn, Wesley Goforth this is priceless
  24. If the Sabres had this last year ... playoffs: Yeah, I know ... three games - but a boy can dream, right? Again, small sample - but last year .919% gets you 7th in the league ... but the 2.73 was middle of the road - tells you the Sabres are giving up waaaaay too many shots.
  25. So I went up to Buffalo this past weekend to visit my mom. I got a good old fashioned Buffalo fish fry at Jades Restaurant, an old school tavern, on Broadway in Depew. Man it was delicious. I'm the guy a little closer to the camera on the left and then there's my mom, 89, and her partner, 94 (and still drives very well).
