  1. Past hour
  2. Being 2nd line D wouldn't be the worst thing. He could play a lot and dominate in juniors or he can be challenged by better competition.
  3. Agreed, I would have jammed Cook, Davis down their throats all half, wore them down. Instead, 2 out of 3 unnecessary sacks.
  4. He's shown an ability to play with pros. I don't understand why playing 30 minutes in a lesser league is better for his development instead of 20 minutes in a better league with better coaching
  5. Send him to Seattle. Let him play 30 minutes a game and dominate. No need to have an 18 year old Dman in the AHL. He hasn’t even played a full junior season yet.
  6. Worst quarter of the season. The playcalling is abysmal. Oline is a sieve. TE’s uninvolved and Cook doesn’t get the ball.
  7. Zach Jones and Jake leschyshyn waived
  8. Bills collapsing late in the 2nd. Saints just manhandling them, at home no less.
  9. Today
  10. Hopefully we don’t have to get in a shoot out to beat the Saints. The defense is not very good so far.
  11. I don't agree. It isn't just the minutes, it's what those minutes are too. His future partner? No.
  12. Boy, this defense.
  13. Johnson - Mrtka Novikov - Komarov Metsa - ??? He'll gain more playing 20 minutes per game vs men than he would playing 27 vs kids. MHO. YMMV. Plus he's getting used to a potential future partner as a Sabre.
  14. What is frustrating, I think, is that a skilled GM is, generally if not always, a step ahead in evaluating his own players. An organization should be able to sort out its own players and identify the traits that will hold them back. Such players should be moved when their value is still high and before long-term commitments are locked into. I’m not implying this is easy or that any GM gets every evaluation correct. Going back to the end of the 91 point season though, it is largely where Adams has failed and what set the team back.
  15. Komarov, Metsa, Novikov, the other players in Rochester. Versus Seattle... where there's Mrtka. He'd get less ice time in Rochester and he's only played 43 whl games. I don't really care that much but I'd send him to Seattle for 1yr before thinking about Rochester.
  16. I'm just glad there's so many defenders in the prospect pool that Samuelsson will be expendable.
  17. Clearly, the projection didn’t materialize. The type of player he was in the AHL didn’t end up being transferable to the higher league. Starring in the AHL doesn’t always mean that the lower league star will be a higher league star. That’s a regular occurrence.
  18. JJP wanted out. He didn’t want to be here and I’m not so sure that the HC wanted to keep him. The GM traded him for Kesserling and Doan. JJP immediately signed an extension with his new team which he wasn’t going to do with the Sabres. In my view, it was a fair deal for both organization.
  19. I think that we are generally talking about what Samuelsson was projected to be when he was a prospect. In Rochester, Seth Appert described Samuelsson as ā€œmiserable to play againstā€. There was no mistaking what Appert was inferring: Samuelsson was big, tough, and mean and he made opposing forwards pay a price for going to the hard places on the ice. Whether something changed in Samuelsson or Appert and others were just wrong in their evaluation, I don’t know. As an NHL player, he has shown only glimpses of being a player who is miserable to play against.
  20. PA got a police escort to the stadium. Lights and siren (whoopwhoops not woowoowoowoos).
  21. I 1000% need a player in that role to rip faces off
  22. That is great news. The Amerks defense just got better.
  23. You have Henry, Cook and, Jeanty šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ you Def don't need any RB help... Kelce is Meh, but I need to keep both of mine as they both enjoy being injured lol
  24. History has shown that sports revenue isn’t always tied to real economic growth, but your point is taken.
  25. Why not Blue Cross Arena in Rochester? Actually they might be able to play at KBC even during construction. They pulled it off in Cleveland with the Cavaliers when Quickin Loan Arena was being updated.
  26. I, and most others agree, that he is not a lock down defenseman. He's a third pairing caliber of player who can also be a good PK player.
