The more I look at this, more I don’t like it. It’s mushy. Nothing stands out. It’s pretty bad.

He already won the cup so does it really matter? I'm torn on the west because although I don't want Eichel, and I would like to see Canada break the cup drought just so that people stop talking about it (but not the Leafs), I really don't want Jeff Skinner to get his name on a cup sitting in the stands as he is. So Winnipeg? Sure. But I don't think they will get past Dallas. As such, might as well be the rats.

Sabres looking for Senior Advisor for Adams and Hockey Department
DarthEbriate replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
But first, your son got to hire his friend who just graduated 9th grade, but who has no experience as a tutor. Meanwhile, you are calling around for tutors who've gone to college and have a good background in all the topics your son will be taking -- but offering minimum wage, and asking the tutor to work only at the direction and schedule of your son. -

It’s like your son has failed Grade 8 for five straight years so now you decide to get him a tutor for his sixth go around. -

When the 2 are actually in their prime they could be great complements for each other. -

Sabres looking for Senior Advisor for Adams and Hockey Department

The reason for existence for the Buffalo Sabres has devolved from winning the Stanley Cup to training Kevyn Adams on how to be the GM of an NHL team. -
For the F bomb alone Rob Ray deserves immortality.

Anybody but Eichel.

We got a collection of young players with upside. Now the challenge this offseason is to get a few more veteran players around them to put them in a position to individually and team-wise succeed. -
No thank you. Then the Loafs are where the Canes were in '06 - a serious injury run for the opponent away from the Finals to which they then may be a goalie injury away from their first trophy since '67. Screw THAT. Let them lose the next 2 so they have no inkling of a possibility of ending one of the few (or the only at this point, unless you give credit the SJ for all their misses dating back to '67 for their long journey back to the Bay area; and personally don't give Dallas credit for a win, but they were AWARDED one, and most people count that (mistakenly) as having won one) SC droughts longer than the Sabres and Nucks droughts.

These are two young players with upside and energy. I'm not complaining. The two young players who needs to step it up are Quinn and Power. My suspicion is that Quinn might be dealt for more veteran presence. -
Morris Titanic - Music Maestro (hey, if you still here after 14 years, you might as well go down with the ship)

Kulich has more goal scoring upside but idk about offensive upside. Zach Benson feeds pucks into HD areas with a skill the Sabres haven't yet capitalized on. Benson is superior defensively. I like Kulich a lot and his skating is faster than Benson which gives him an advantage. -
Alex Moligny - Travel Coordinator 🤣 It's only a 12 hour ride to St. Louis!

We probably shouldn't ignore the fact Kulich got 9 assists, often playing with the league's best goal scorer and is a year older than Benson. D3 seasons of 1st-round Sabre forwards: Reinhart 79 17/30/47 -11 Eichel 67 25/39/64 -25 Nylander 12 2/2/4 -4 Mittelstadt 31 4/5/9 -2 Cozens 79 13/25/38 -19 Quinn 74 14/23/37 -7 Kulich 62, 15/9/24 -4 Benson ??? And just because I noticed him: Power 76 6/27/33 +8 He's right there with Sam Reinhart in terms of the 2nd-most advanced guy behind Eichel. That +8 really sticks out. Something to think about. -

Don't you mean Berglund. His motto is if you don't like how things are going, then quit and move to Sweden.
-
Hodgson Kaleta Connolly Peters 😂 Rivet 😂
-
100% this. Marty could transition from intermission to color so easily. His command of the game far surpasses Ray. And he lives there.
