  2. #AdvancedMetrics
  3. Fortan. I read Fortran. Had a flashback to younger days.
  4. Today
  5. Whoops, he is. 😆
  6. ...and that player goes on to win the Cup.
  7. Maybe but if the Sabres want to sign him and Tuch wants to sign with the Sabres, seems like it wouldn't be too difficult to agree on a contract.
  8. Zero chance any structure change happens with the Bills. Actually so far below zero, it's absurd to even bring it up.
  9. Firings Adams must be accompanied by other moves. Simply firing Adams and promoting Jarmo leaves the bad scouts, Fortan, and the bad coaches in place. Lipstick on a pig especially if Terry forces Jarmo to work under the same restrictions and Adams.
  10. I think Tuch is a step above Donald Audette. He is a winger than two of the past 3 years has scored between 35 and 40 goals. He led the league in short-handed goals last year. He has been the best forward in plus minus on the team... Deep into the positive territory on a team that has been negative. He's one of the best forcheckers in the league. Right now today, Tuch is one of the best all-around, every situation, top six wingers in the league, that can do pretty much everything and play in any position for any team. Hes not a game changer but he's just a half step below that category for a winger. The problem is right now he's at his peak. You have him this year in that peak year no matter what happens. Next year you might get 95 to 98% of what he has to offer now as he enters his early thirties. The year after that it might be 90 to 95%. After that, who knows how quick the decline will be. That's why I have doubts about extending him. You'd love him for two more years, you have him for one. Once you get into 3 and 4 years out, I have no idea what he's going to be but I'm confident he won't be exactly what he is now.
  11. It would be a good start though
  12. Actually he has for stints His famous run in 2023 he played 6 games in 2 weeks in April as well as 6 over 9 days earlier that season.
  13. I highly doubt that is the case; even if he hates how the Sabres have been of late he most certainly still would likely have an underlying desire to stay here.
  14. I guess. I'm not sure I care that he has some local connection. It's not like he's a superstar like Tim Connolly was/could have been. He's more Donald Audette. Which is... fine.
  15. Not a gritty team compared to say Florida but more grit than the Sabres. More guys who will drag you into the fight and stand up for each other. Pests and scrappers. They can at least survive that sort of game if not thrive off of it. Tenacity is the word that comes to mind most for me after watching them a couple times this year. Benson/Doan are steps in that direction for us but they stand out so much relative to the passivity of most of the rest of them. We need more of that and we need it to become infectious.
  16. That stinks. They'll miss his versatility to play center and wing with Norris out of the lineup the entire time.
  17. I doubt it lasts but it sure would be nice if this team finally lucked into some good goaltending.
  18. And he has a bigger d***
  19. or Tuch doesn't really want to sign
  20. So we either keep three goalies or waive Ellis when UPL comes back?? Or trade one of them
  21. Ah yes...more injuries, what's new. Can this team play a single game without someone getting seriously injured? It's absurd.
  22. That rare trade that BOTH teams lost.
  23. Of course they had Metsa with Geersen today, so we can hope but not too much.
  24. Lt. Dangle is a legend
