  1. Past hour
  2. This whole thing is absolutely crazy. going to be a never ending list of things that were considered but wound up not happening. This is the internet and the 24/7 news cycle driving us to the point of insanity.
  3. Meanwhile Jarmo is trying to figure out to Zoom into a conference with KA to discuss who to target in free agency but keeps getting a cat filter on his webcam.
  4. Yeah. This is embarrassing and shines a light on what Terry is really concerned about. Perception. Not reality.
  5. Yeah well here he going to be a split starter, no way we get Lyon for less than $3 million IMO.
  6. No. We switched tougher defense in exchange for goalscoring getting rid of JJ. 2 steps forward 2 steps back. 80 l-85 point team as is.
  7. Terry and Adams are thinned skinned little kids... if true.
  8. The Sabres are the worse franchise in sports, and they want to insulate themselves from criticism? lol
  9. If Levi follows a Miller track, he'll be great in the AHL again this season and be in the NHL in 2026-27 at age 25. (Note: Miller couldn't be in the NHL in age 24 season because of lockout, but prior to that he was not good in the NHL, just as Levi's been a bit overwhelmed. Miller had a better team supporting him, though, obviously.) Alex Lyon has never earned over $1M/year in the NHL. He's a backup who has been signed as a backup every time. Adams doesn't pay goalies. And he doesn't give them term. The cap went up so it can't be the $750k special. Last year, Reimer got a 1x$1M. Factor in the taxes and palm trees. 1 x $1.75M sound good? Can't block Levi in 2026.
  10. Kinda like that fallen tree in the forest.
  11. Great now we’re going hear how great the prospect pool is when we’re out of the playoffs in December, can’t wait to be even more infuriated.
  12. Make it stop
  13. Terry Pegula has always been the same guy. Remember when he met with the Buffalo News editorial team in February 2011? One of the principal points he wanted to make to them: You're too critical of the hockey team. Be nicer, be more positive, and they'll play better. He advised the newspaper to encourage the Sabres' success (in pro hockey) in the same way that the Pegulas encourage the success of their daughter Jessica (in pro tennis). Bizarre.
  14. Renee
  15. I dont think this is accurate. It isn't "we don't want to play with speed and skill" it is "we need more grit with speed and skill". Doan and Kesselring are fast and skilled. I can see Adams being moved to an advisor/team president job, Lindy to POHO and Jarmo to GM at the end of the year.
  16. I think with Lindy making more of the hockey decisions than KA who is just a lame duck GM right now the team got better. Playoff better is still yet to be seen and far away IMO.
  17. Never thought I’d see the day where “What could Kevyn Adams have even done?” was made the actual official slogan of the team
  18. ***** man, Im struggling to figure out JBD’s non-qualifier. Now you want me to figure out Kevyn Adams?
  19. Incompetence.
  20. Welcome to Buffalo! Home of palm trees and taxes, pitchforks and torches. Except the palms all burned because they make for big torches.
  21. Funny - I was thinking, why the sudden change in direction with the team? Who put the bug in KA's arse to change midstream and not want to play with speed and skill? Where did this come from? I am 100 percent positive it did not come from KA. Did that person know it would take more than 2 years to flip the roster and change direction? Another few years of fans going off along with social media, with no playoffs in sight? If not, there is a bigger problem than just the GM.
  22. This is hilarious. It definitely has a local cable feel to it that I won't miss, but "too critical"? Really?
  23. It's among the worst produced sports broadcasts I have seen. Overly critical or whatever, but the actual product is really lousy.
  24. This will get the Sabres over the hump
  25. Fine for Ottawa to be roster balancing. But --- who initiates the trade. The Sabres are looking to trade Cozens. Fine. But that's not required to be at the trade deadline. They're not going anywhere; he doesn't have a NTC/NMC kick in for 2 more years. Ruff could've just moved him to 3rd line wing, but he also wasn't showcasing Cozens between Benson & Thompson for a trade. On the other hand, Ottawa wants to move Norris. They need a more physical player for the playoffs. The NEED someone who will be healthy and available going into the playoffs (Norris already has his ---oblique?--- strain). Norris is a better overall player than Cozens right now, but is he a 3-for-1 trade better than Cozens if Cozens reaches his potential, or is at least moved from center to wing? Adams wasn't operating from a place of need in that trade; Ottawa was. Why was Adams the one feeding in the 2nd?
  26. Demko just signed with Vancouver 3 years 8.5 AAV
