  1. Past hour
  2. Picking up a first line forward is a must. Next, they extended Quinn, he needs to take a big step this season. You are missing Doan. Doan should get a good long look at 3rd line ice time. Lindy must want some jam - Doan and Benson, or Doan and Greenway in certain situations.
  3. I would sign up for a similar deal for McLeod
  4. Eh, don't think it really matters if he gives the offer to a UFA verbally, in writing, or via smoke signals. The team will still have to submit the particulars to the league office should he get a deal agreed to. And that WILL have to be in writing.
  5. In the Hockey News Draft Edition Parayko is the NHL comparison they make for Mrtka
  6. Frankly, I highly doubt it; he's more likely to offered something stupid overpay wise than undercut the player
  7. Few years away but, any one of those cities will taste the playoffs before we do again. Hell, I’d wager that they would make the finals before we see the playoffs again!! 😀
  8. If Adams makes an offer sheet to a UFA, it will be official that he has no idea what he’s doing.
  9. reminds me a lot of Parayko
  10. 20 hours away!!! Don’t hold your breadth - KA’s first move will happen aim august
  11. I really wished we took him.
  12. Nope - Robertson is much better fit
  13. Today
  14. The only way you're even getting him to consider Buffalo is something to the tune of 15x7 which, to be honest I think he'd still take lower AAV for Vegas. Also I think you forget who our cheapass owner is.
  15. Still too early since I think we will see a top 6 forward trade involving Byram, a prospect or two, and next years 2nd round pick (a man can dream can’t he??!) I expect he starts the season in the stands and works his way into the lineup if/when Greenway or someone else goes out with injury and/or filling in for whoever is underperforming after a few games. Ruff always liked to make young players earn their time so I expect him to do the same here now that he knows this team better. To me it looks like these players we drafted and traded for meet Ruffs requirements (physical, hard working, hungry) but also GMKA (smooth skating, slick passing). It’s too easy to be negative with these moves so I need to take the contrarian view. Even if these moves look like this:
  16. Maybe Adams was like "how aboot 4x$4M?" ... i can see not dignifying that with a response, lol.
  17. Yes, yes he does. I can blame Adams for being an idiot for a myriad of things but I can't hold Peterka not getting signed as one if there were no negotiations.
  18. Better, by a small margin yes. I read somewhere our project points went from 83.0 to 83.2 for the season. Which is somewhat surprising based on the loss of Peterka but I guess the better defensive metrics we have now help us immensely.
  19. It's time! We are the laughing stocks of the NHL and we now need to go hard for Marner. We need to present a 14 million dollar offer sheet. Let's do this, we're sick of this crap! I've been following the Sabres since 1973. 1973! There is absolutely no excuse for the product we've been forced to root for the past 15 years. ENOUGH!
  20. You shouldn’t post lies. Best goals for % by NHL pairings, minimum 500 minutes: 1 Dahlin Byram 70% 2 McDonagh Cernak 63.8% 3 McCabe Tanev 63.3% 4 Samberg Pionk 63.2% 5 Toews Makar 61.4% How can any defence pairing that helped outscore the opposition 35 to 15 at even strength on the Buffalo Sabres be called “wasn’t that good” by anyone with a straight face? Its like saying Tage Thompson is not a very good goal scorer, or Josh Norris never gets hurt.
  21. Defensively, yes. Clifton and JJP were sieve for defense and Clifton was a turnover machine. We lost some scoring though that needs to be replaced. So it is a TBD....
