  1. Past hour
  2. I honestly don't know how they get out of it. They've dug a deep hole. As the cap rises they will have more and more trouble keeping the team profitable. Revenues have to rise so higher ticket prices? That'll be a tough sell on a loser. Especially if another round of stars exit like you said.
  3. Then the avs ditched him. Cause he doesn’t have it. And coming here he’s just going to revert back to Jeff skinner status give me a grinder who can’t pot it in
  4. Still from 2019 draft, not sure besides Boldy and Caufield if there are players we could have picked better behind Cozens. Time will show how he adapts in Ottawa, but his first minor stint showed the same flaws as in Buffalo. Maybe he needs a summer to adjust. As for Norris, He is a 2C for me , hope he doesn't get injured too much. A 70 game season with 60 points is probably a win for us
  5. Today
  6. I didn't dive deep.. but this might help your questions on NY https://www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/new-york-democrats-introduce-new-congressional-map/
  7. The threatening part is what I focus on... he threatens a lot. He doesn't always follow through. Unfortunately I have no clue which way it'll go until it goes that way and the threatening piece of it is what is really sad and scary. As for DOGE, I'm still convinced that nothing more than a dog and pony show to get access to sensitive data on the American public to help facilitate actions at a later date and the whole "fallout" between Musk and Trump is merely a ruse to make people think otherwise. It's all 100% sketchy performed under the auspices of addressing the hard issues while not actually addressing anything.
  8. He's out there every night swinging the biggest **** on the team. Size matters and he has it where it counts.
  9. Can he get SOG added to the scoreboard overlay? Then he wins.
  10. The DOGE stats have been published by several outlets. One doesn’t need a “left slanted” article to read the data. It is what it is. Question: Is deploying the National Guard and federal agents to act as a municipal police force the intended use for those agencies? Especially when the reason given by Tump is the rampant violent crime in a city? When actual violent crime is down 25% in that city? Is threatening to deploy NG and federal agents to act as municipal police departments in other cities where crime is also down the right thing? Trump is assembling his own brand of brownshirts. It is wrong on every level imaginable.
  11. Perhaps Mitts having a problem with the hard practice was the reason he was moved? He might have improved while in Buffalo and been serviceable by Buffalo standards but he's clearly not been serviceable by Boston or Colorado standards. Why do we want him? To further the Buffalo standard? No thanks.
  12. Yeah, it's scripted PR nonsense for the most part. But there were a couple things I took from it. Lindy sound bite on culture. He clearly thinks the locker room is immature. The constant use of the word 'intelligence'. Methinks they really disliked cozens mental makeup.
  13. MAYBE Mitts learned something while he was away playing with the big boys. Remember that quote about his first Avs practice and how it was the most difficult practice he had ever taken part in? If they can get Mitts for cheap I'd say why not, but I'm not inclined to try that route again. He really doesn't fit anywhere in the line-up as currently constructed. That is unless his game has changed to the better while he was away.
  14. He's 2027 draft eligible but don't have that thread yet.
  15. If there is an opening, I'd like to get back in. Been a few years.
  16. It’s a little more than $4 m 4 years😁
  17. Why not... in.. glutton for frustration... wait that is redundant I'm a Sabres fan..
  18. Sabre FO discussing the hiring of Lindy.
  19. Just hoping for what was here to be better is dumb. Casey was here. Now your hoping that he would be better.
  20. These videos are garbage. The intent is to show collaboration and an organization with a plan. I see scripted messaging. Still waiting for results.
  21. Perhaps this is not a meaningful thing, but the thread being revived a bit today got me back to thinking about the salary cap and the position that Adams had put the franchise in. I did an exercise on PuckPedia of recreating last year's roster with this year's salaries (reverse the Peterka and Clifton trades; bring back Lafferty for Danforth, Reimer for Lyon). If you recreate last year's end of season roster using the current salaries of those players, the Sabre cap hit would be just over $97 million. That would be the 4th highest cap hit in the NHL. The only 3 teams with a current higher projected cap hit are Vegas, Montreal, and Florida, and unlike the Sabres they all have an obvious high-salaried LTIR candidate for the start of the season. Obviously, this didn't happen and Adams should not be criticized for something he didn't ultimately do. But, what he did do last season was ice the youngest roster in the league, that produced a 79 point season (7th worst in the NHL), and that if kept together would have had the highest LTIR-excluded cap-hit in the NHL this season. Again, perhaps not meaningful. Or perhaps, evidence of gross incompetence (as it relates to his job duties).
  22. Cook getting a $4M 4 year extension. Hard Knocks will probably pick this up in Episode 3. Bills set the tone of a well run franchise. In Beane We Trust.
  23. Unless no one steps in. If that’s the case I’ll carry on.
  24. Bringing him in for draft picks would make the team better than it is now. Would rather see a different move than that to improve the team now. But in a vacuum, it is better than nothing. Pretty sure that's what you're trying to get at.
  25. I agree, I do not think the league is coming to save us, the only thing I see the league doing is looking to force a move or a sale if the attendance gets atrocious and the environment becomes untenable... players wanting out other refusing to come here fans with Billboards and signs etc... the only thing to me is, have another crappy year, dont resign Tuch, have Dahlin looking to get out, attendance consistently below 50% maybe worse... that is a real possibility to me...
