We just turtle. Lindy Ruff hockey Rasmus Dahlin literally scored that period after Zadorov ran his mouth. Quote
Gatorman0519 Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Heading back to the basement of the conference I see. Still have not found a franchise goalie since Ryan Miller. Quote

HumanSlinky39 Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago I know it's only October, but sell me that this isn't the Same Old Sabres™. Lacking in top-6 forward talent Uninspired, disjointed blue line Lousy power play Poorly coached Get outworked on the boards regularly Refuse to go to or put butts in front of the net It's the same ***** every single year under Adams. 1 Quote

Then, Kasterlic scored after destroying Dahlin, followed by the whole team yapping and Big Z pointing at our bench as we do.... Probably nothing Greenway just swirled away. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago The question becomes... Do they do anything physical, or do they just yap and hide from Zadorov and Jeannot? Kesselring was jawing a bunch on the bench. Dunne is in the lineup. Greenway is back. They're not too small by size. Quote

7+6=13 Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago IMO, we're playing some good hockey but there's poor coaching and certain players that kill ya. I refuse to ignore that we've been showing the ability to play well and that it's time to punish poor play. Power wouldn't skate again tonight and I'd fire Ellis tomorrow morning. 1 1 Quote

GoPuckYourself Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago (edited) Greenway and Kesserling are both just getting back from injuries and I hope Ruff is telling them not to get involved. Time for Samulesson to grow a pair and earn that "A" on your crest big man. Edited 17 hours ago by GoPuckYourself Quote

Can't agree with you about not going to the net. They have consistently done that this season plus they 100% haven't got outworked since game 3 of the season 1 Quote

When I look at goals allowed, the blue-line is not GOOD, but often times they actually are in position and are still getting hung out to dry by the forwards coverage (or lack of) in the defensive zone. With Dahlin's PP goal, they are right near top 10 in the league in PP%. And Doan does go to the front of the net basically all the time, that is his whole game in the offensive zone. I get your point overall though. Quote

The fact that Matty Ellis still has a job here shows that this isn't a serious hockey organization. 1 1 1 Quote

Time for Samulesson to grow a pair and earn that add big man. This is a major reason I can’t take Greenway seriously. Not only will he never score nor be a part of the production of any goal, his “physicality” feels like he goes thru the motions. Like, “I have to do this.” Not “I want to put you thru the boards.” 1 Quote

Sidc3000 Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago So the Sabres literally cat hit the broad side of a barn 🤣. Top 10 with missed shots 1 Quote

They're not terrible, but they're not good enough. Unfortunately Adams ceiling is 'not terrible.' Turn the team over to Jarmo to see if he can get rid of the remaining rot to make this an actual contending team. 1 1 Quote
mjd1001 Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Greenway has never gotten in more than 3 fights in any given year. He has a total of 12 fights, now in his 9th NHL season. 2 Quote
