Pimlach Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago (edited) You made my day. Dick Bauerle wrote the song, looks like him on guitar. He had a recording studio in Kenmore. Teddy Reinhard opened the song on drums. One of the best drummers I've ever seen anywhere. His brother Tommy played bass on the song. They both starred in the Jazz Fusion band Gamalon and played with numerous great musicians for decades in Buffalo. They are in the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. I lived in their neighborhood. Their parents owned a florist shop in the Town of Tonawanda, still there and still family run. Thanks for the memories! That was Ed Kilgore a local sportscaster, channel 4, I think (?) As for the Sabres - Housley with some air guitar. I also recognize Larry Playfair, Scott Arniel, Mike Ramsey, Dave Andreychuck, and Mike Filigno. Probably some others .... Loved It! Ed Kilgore and Wes Goforth were Channel 2's top 2 sports guys back then. Wes is the one next to Ed shortly after the video starts. 2 minutes ago, PerreaultForever said: You like that for memories go back a little further and remember this: Know someone who still has the 45. The B-side is Sabres highlights from those 1st 5 seasons. 1 Quote

7+6=13 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago For those that don't know, the drummer in the first moments of this video, is the late great Ted Reinhardt. It was an honor to have watched him play. Buffalo music hall of fame inductee and he could play with anyone on this planet. His work with George Paleo in the band Gamalon is some of the best WNY music ever produced. You tube it, you won't be disappointed. Ted's brother Willie is a legendary Buffalo guitarist as well. PonyBoy2 Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago A couple of thoughts: 1. Damn, a lot of us are pretty old to remember this 🫤 2. Those Sabres could probably play as well now as our current roster. 3. All local commercials by pro players have sucked for a long time. Cheesy as F***! 😀 Quote
