Adams should be doing this with Ehlers and/or Robertson but it's too complex for him. He rather let someone else sign Ehlers as a UFA and someone else trade for Richardson. One can only hope he's looking into these things

About five posts up you said Adams should be doing the same thing with “Marner and/or Robertson but it’s too complex for him.” 
That implies they should be trying to do a sign and trade with a guy already under contract.

Adams should be doing this with Ehlers and/or Robertson but it's too complex for him. He rather let someone else sign Ehlers as a UFA and someone else trade for Richardson. One can only hope he's looking into these things
 

meaning same concept with ehkers and Robertson/UFA for one trade for the other as was written

You are forgetting state taxes, that’s a major factor in any deal Marner takes. Besides not sure if Marner goes from the Leafs to Buffalo of all teams!

Well he only has a year left on his deal so they could negotiate the 8 year before the trade I guess

Kiefer sherwood of the LW variety and 40 points which we don't need (though he shoots right)? I don't think he moves the needle at all (or very much anyway) and doesn't help us towards the playoffs. And you create another huge hole by trading Byram
