Good tune, but there was a better song on that album.

This is what I believe as well. They might sign a mediocre D man in free agency like a Gryzelcyk or Ceci or some free agent they can overpay or nobody really wants and maybe even a fourth liner but basically just run it back and bet on Levi .

and then Dahlin will want out.

And Alex Tuch will tell GMKA that he won't extend after next season.

I’m tired of this thread.

It's a sad state of affairs, having loyalty to a brand which provides no rational ROI, going on 15 years, and NO signs that sunnier days are on the horizon

You know, if they roll it back with KA and no significant changes, I think if the stars/captains staged a revolt, they could force Pegula's hand.  But the message has to be "We want to win here, but front office isn't doing enough of the right things to improve the team."

The dumb bastard wasn't really phased over losing Jack and Sam so why is he going to give a flying ***** now? He can't even be forced to change his ways because he's a sad stubborn fool.

No, it's different from someone saying they want out.

I have posted for a long time arguing that KA is a failure and should be replaced. However, whether he stays or not, the bigger issue this offseason for this lame franchise is what is going to happen with respect to the roster. If there are few meaningful moves to alter/upgrade this roster, then that would be a clear signal that this owner cares little about this franchise and its fanbase.

Will there be moves this offseason? Probably so. Will they be meaningful enough to make this roster capable of being a serious team? That's the question that needs to be answered. TBD!

How do separate the two? One is contingent on the other. No?

Depends on the move.  If the only truly meaningful thing that happened was UPL turning into Swayman, while personally would still want additional roster moves, THAT could be a signal that ownership does care.

What I would like added to your goalie swap is finding a legitimate partner for Power, adding a younger Zucker-like forward and another second-line caliber forward. If that happens on top of the return of Greenway and Norris, then I would consider it a good offseason. None of the moves I'm hoping for are beyond our capacity to accomplish considering the assets we have on the roster and within the system and the cap room to work with.

Although I would prefer the dispatch or at least the reassignment of KA, even if he stays this franchise has the assets to parlay to make some impactful deals. My sense is that even if KA remains the GM there is pressure to make deals. Will it be done? I can't say for sure.

There's all but a 0% chance this team adds 2 top 6 players this offseason.

I’m still pushing for Sabretooth. Or, maybe introduce a new sidekick for Sabretooth. May increase ST sales.

Keep Sabertooth out of this. He's the best thing about this team for the last 14 years.

Adding a Zucker-like player doesn't mean that player is a top two-line player. So, adding a top two line player in addition to a Zucker-like player is doable considering the assets this team has. As an example, trading Byram in a package deal could bring back a top two line player. In addition, Norris is a 2C and will be on the roster.
