Mustache of God
Before the preseason started my buddy bet me $50 that the Sabres finish in the bottom 7 of the league this year. I took that bet but I'm a little uneasy now with the Lehner & Bogo injuries. It's too early to really tell but they're digging themselves in a pretty big hole right now. If we continue our pace of 1-5 were going to end up with roughly 27 points. Yes, I understand that scenario is impossibly unlikely but it's disconcerting when put in that perspective. Hopefully things "click" and we blow the Leafs out at home with a good old fashioned whooping. A loss to the Leafs, however, is going to make that hole a whole lot deeper. At the end of the season, a realist guess from me is them somewhere around 20th place in the league. The optimist in me says playoffs. GO SABRES! Brawndo
They finish 24th and win the lottery.

Doohickie
I was going to say 24th as well.... +/- 1 Matthews here we come.... Next year it's the cup!!!!!! How awesome would it be to out-Edmonton Edmonton?
respk
Dream scenario (given that winning the cup is too much to dream) would be just missing the playoffs by a couple of points in the last few days of the season and then winning the lottery. Realistically, I'm hoping for a 30+ point improvement and being competitive in 90%+ of games.
Randall Flagg
Don't know where to put this, but a lot of our home games in the first half of the season are bunched together. We have five stretches of three straight home games between now and the first few days of 2016. Is that normal? I wonder if it makes the travel easier. Hoss
They'll finish 25th and end up with the second overall pick again. Jakob Chychrun becomes a Sabres great as a top-pairing dman on multiple champions.
WildCard
I'll take 8th in the East. The record may not show it yet, but this team looks pretty damn improved, and enough so to compete in a poor division

TrueBlueGED
I feel 80-85 points is a pretty realistic projection, minus getting some crazy luck one way or the other. Once we start begging Carp for charts we can confirm, but a cursory glance seems to point to that being a bottom-7 or so finish.
