Hoss
People are too sensitive though....lol. There is absolutely no place for this lazy garbage in any discussion. It's just a way to get out of talking about the real issue. It's a defenseless position to take when you don't feel like actually presenting your side of the topic... Iron Crotch
Terry should be incensed about this. The league can't make any money with empty arenas. Edited December 7, 2014 by Potato
Robviously
Terry should be incensed about this. The league can't make any money with empty arenas. There's a solution to this. Also, if the Seattle NHL team isn't named "Thunderbirds" and doesn't have this look, it's a fail.

dudacek
Not so sure about the Whalers colours (little too close to Vancouver in more than just geography) , but Seattle Thunderbirds is a major league identity all the way. Hope it happens. That arena was an embarrassment last night. Edited December 7, 2014 by dudacek

Hoss
Don't think the league marketers will will have an issue with this, especially since they will likely be big rivals? No, I don't think they'll have a problem. Every team in Seattle uses that color scheme. They're the emerald city...

JJFIVEOH
I remember a fan got killed a while back by getting hit in the head with a puck. I think it's offensive for TSN and ESPN to show hockey highlights every night because somebody died attending a hockey game.

Hoss
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emerald_City Mhm. Theyre both the emerald city. Just like there's approximately 4,000 Queen Cities.
Robviously
Don't think the league marketers will will have an issue with this, especially since they will likely be big rivals? Buffalo and Toronto had a nearly identical primary color for over two decades and it wasn't an issue. They could again if the Sabres ever get their act together with a true blue and gold. Seattle being navy blue and Vancouver being royal blue is probably different enough.
dudacek
Plus the green accents and the First Nations art themed logo? The gold really set Buffalo off from Toronto and the logos were unique. Maybe lime green and navy, a la the Seahawks may be enough. You guys may be right, and I don't have any personal objection to it. But it just doesn't seem to fit the modern corporate way of doing things to me. WildCard
8k Thanks. Maybe tickets sold. No way that place was half full. Always surprises me that people don't just move to better seats sometime during the 2nd period or late 1st
