  1. Looks too much like St. Louis. I knda hope if they go back to royal that they add some 3rd color to give it some pop.. like some silver or red or something... maybe.
  2. As time passes JBOT just seems to be too patient with guys... giving them chance after chance after chance to prove themselves. He did it with Housley, TT, Mittlestadt, now guys like Hutton and Larsson, etc... It's good to be patient, but some are just so obvious to the casual fan, that it's just too much. He waits and waits, while the team nosedives and pulls the trigger after the fact.
  3. Sheary, Sobotka, Scandella
  4. Anybody concerned about goaltending? Hutton, IMO, is not a starter... Ullmark has even more question marks. Still think they need to make a move at that position to compete with Hutton and Ullmark in camp. Hammond? Meh
  5. It's all bunk. Good defenseman play tough minutes and put up good stats, they don't need apologists.
  6. Roslovic was the 1st round pick BUF gave to WPG in the Kane trade. The pick originally belonged to STL but went to BUF as part of the Ryan Miller trade.
  7. Some TRpm data for the past season. TRpm is the difference between the players actual +/- and what their expected +/- is based on their teams performance, their number of games played and % of minutes played. A TRpm of 0 on a good team means you're an equal contributor to the team's success (when compared to your teammates). A TRpm of 0 on a bad team means you're an equal contributor to the team's failure. eg, Brett Pesce had an actual +/- of +35. CAR's even strength goal differential was +22, over 82 games that's +0.2683/gm. Pesce played 73 games, and averaged about 20min of ice time (33% of 60min). Over 73 games, we would expect CAR to have an even strength goal differential of 73 * 0.2683 = 19.59. Pesce played 33% of total minutes, so his expected +/ would be 19.59 * 0.33= +6.5. However, his actual +/- was +35... a difference of +28.5.... meaning that CAR had a much better even strength goal differential with him on the ice than without. In summary, this stat tells you which players helped or hurt their team the most.... eg, on a bad team, negative TRpms identify the players who are weighing the team down... those players most responsible for the teams' lack of success. Likewise, a large positive TRpm on a bad team identifies players who might be attractive trade targets ? Min 20 games played. 8. McCabe is a very underrated defenseman. He has a +7 TRpm :), tied for 2nd among Sabre defenders.
  9. Cozens stature is not whats holding him back. He needs to learn to see the ice better and improve his awareness, which will improve with another year of juniors.
  10. rayzor: "that is not what you wanted to do there.."
  11. you sure Eichel has another year in him?
  12. Hutton ?
  13. They picked a lot of guys that didn't end up playing for them...
  14. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is King
  15. The best case scenario is JBOT fills out the middle six via trade, allowing Mittlestadt and Thomspon to start the season in Roch where they belong. Let them build confidence, learn how to win and build some chemistry together at least for a few months until they prove they're too good for the A.
  16. I won't invest any time in this discussion for two reasons... It's 2 years away, the roster could completely turn over by then. The team is bad, losing one guy to expansion is the least of our worries. Lockout.
  17. Thomspon and Mittlestadt are JBOTs guys. It would look bad for JBOT if he sent Thomspon down earlier in the season. My theory with Mittlestadt is that he was the teacher's (Housley) pet... Both Minnesota boys, no way was Housley going to push for him to be sent down... they take care of their own. I could see this rubbing guys like Berglund the wrong way when Casey continues to see regular 2nd line minutes while struggling. Will be interesting to see where Mittlestadt fits in Krueger's world. That said, Casey better take some steps this summer. He's always come off as kind of aloof when asked about his fitness and training habits... He gives the impression that his hands are the key to his performance, not fitness or strength, so it's a concern... that and his tobacco fueled fortnite sessions. It's time to grow up Casey.
  18. Whatever Buffalo offers them to take him. There were many deals like this in the Vegas draft.
  19. Absolutely. He's legit. Still can't believe Chicago traded him, young D with his skillset don't grow on trees.
  20. Prolly end up in Seattle... but yeah will need to offer picks and or other players as incentive.
