It wasn't a financial situation. The money was the same. BUF goes out of their way, trading a pick for his rights, and he snubs them even though he hadn't played 1 second of pro hockey. That says a lot about the young man's character and what his values are. Unlike Austin Matthews tho he did go to college and get a degree, so good on him for that.

Not even close. Miller's hockey IQ is superior to Beaulieu and Scandella. Plus he can absolutely fly.

Hockey is controlled chaos. It's very rare (outside of special teams) that you'll execute a play exactly how you've drawn it up or practiced it. Trying to break it down into a science just doesn't work. Games flip one way or the other based on mistakes... lack of focus for a fraction of a second and the pucks in your net. Good coaches keep their players committed and focused for 60min on a consistent basis.

Those 3 played together in the prospects tournament last summer and they looked great together. My hope was they would play the majority of the season in Roch, growing together, developing chemistry, etc.... but that didn't happen. They have the potential to be the next RAV line, but after last season, I just don't know if that's possible. Last year really seemed like a wasted year for all of them.

Joseph Morrow would also be a good depth D, and maybe Ryan Hartman... both guys wil positive TRpm's on good teams.

I'm pulling for Thompson this year. Lots of folks crap on him because he was a key piece in the ROR trade, but don't forget he's still only 21 years old and has room to develop. He's shown flashes and if he can find some consistency he'll be a key piece moving forward.
