Laaksonen is 3 points away from leading the AHL in defencemen scoring. He deserves a real look at some point. He is an offensive dman and runs a great PP. Maybe a third pairing RHD who works PP. They need a top pairing RHD for sure but I feel like Laaksonen is completely ignored as a RHD in the system.

Montreal just got a new front office. I wonder if Adams talks to them about Luke Tuch. Not a massive move but a local kid who is big, can skate, would want to be here with his brother and could be a good bottom 6 forward. Continue to build that local culture.

To me this off-season is the time to get serious about making a leap forward. Their two biggest prospects, Power and Quinn will be joining the team, Krebs and Mule will be up full time. Adding a legit goalie, a high end RHD and a vet high end forward would do wonders. Spend some money and assets. Between the kids and a couple key adds most of the low end talent won’t need to be resigned.
