I am not saying he is the answer to be Power’s partner but rather a rhd for free to take a look at as depth anyways.

https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=169620 Preds just put Philippe Myers on waivers. Big, physical RHD 25 years old. Interesting name to claim and take for a test drive especially if other d are moved. Making $2.5 which might scare teams off. Interesting guy to claim and see if he is a fit.

Watching Mule in Rochester and Buffalo he is as advertised: Big, physical, takes care of his end. The thing that has impressed me is how often he gets up in the rush. Markstrom made a great save on him as he drove the net and Girgs went cross crease to him for a tap on.

What are you giving LA to part with him?

GDT: Sabres at Calgary Flames. March 18th, 2022. MSG-B, SN, WGR550

Did I just witness the Sabres WIN IN OT? I thought I would never see it again. What a bloody character win that was after the egg last night. They had every reason to get blown out tonight. Calgary is unstoppable at home, they played last night and got smoked. Toker in net. But they gutted out a massive win Toker was outstanding. Call Toronto, Vegas, Pitt, Washington right now and offer him for a 1st🤣 Dahlin was unreal but man Samuelsson is becoming an absolute stud back there. The top line was dangerous all game, Great to see Tage get the winner.- 225 replies

Is he not playing tonight because he was bad last night or they are resting him in back to backs after an injury or being held out for a trade?

Eichel’s Injury A Huge Concern per Peter DeBoer

“With the 11th pick in 2022 draft the Buffalo Sabres are proud to select....” -
You can’t compare Miller to Chiarot’s return. The GMs remembered Chiarot’s playoff run last year and want that grit. Miller has been out for 24 games and it sure showed last night. He might be one of the better RHDs available by Monday but I think a 1st is a no go. Maybe a 2nd, maybe a prospect instead is about the max. I read that St. Louis might be a fit for Miller.

Krebs family is made up of natural athletes and people that excel at what they put their minds to. There was a good article a couple years ago about them. Krebs seems like a very likeable guy. I think he will be a big part of this team’s core and culture for years to come here.

They need Okposo’s salary.

Is Anderson starting? They play CAlgary tomorrow night so We will be seeing both goalies I’m sure. -
Power was voted to the Big 10 1st Team while Hughes was voted to the 2nd team. I wouldn’t put too much stock into it. As was said, Power has played well since the Olympics but the points haven’t been there.
-
All things being equal I would rank them: 1) Letang 2) Dumba 3) Klingberg 4) Gudas 5) Mayfield/ Gudbranson/Jensen Letang is the grand prize but for him to even think of signing here it would take a huge overpay. He is still at the top of his game and would really help Power develop. Dumba is 27 and has 1 year at $6 million left. He would take assets to aquire. With the dead cap coming in Minny he could be available. Talented dman that would make a formidable duo with Power. Klingberg will be 30 and a reason they say Dallas wants to move him is because he wants 7-8 years term. If you could get him for 4 years it would be great but sounds like he wants much more. Gudas might be a cap casualty this summer in Florida. Nasty player who takes care of his end and would allow Power to roam.
-
There defence moves around a lot. Blankenburg has played with Hughes a lot lately. And they lineup on face offs on their strong side but once the puck drops all bets are off as they switch sides a lot. I wouldn’t want Power starting his career on his weak side. It was just something to think about with the connection between the Pegulas and Chychrun families.

I wonder if Colin Miller is back tonight? 3 good games before the deadline would do wonders for his trade stock. -
Just the guys speculating, no inside scoop. Chychrun shoots left but Power plays both sides at Michigan a lot. Chychrun would check a lot of boxes: young, cost controlled, physical, great skater, tough. Don’t forget the Chychruns and Pegulas are or at least were neighbors in Florida and I’m sure Murray picking Nylander over Chychrun in the draft drew a real wedge between Murray and the Pegulas. We easily have the pieces to aquire him too. You can make a package of either Vegas or Florida’s 1st round pick, a prospect like Ryan Johnson, Rosen, Polpatov or Kisakov maybe a roster player like VO. Any combination of pieces like that is better then a team like Boston who are rumoured to be in on him could offer.

https://hockeyprospect.com/hockeyprospect-com-2022-nhl-draft-top-32-ranking-march-14-2021/ Another site’s latest rankings. All over the place again.
-
I don’t know that he is bad as much as awkward. Teams these days think they can fix/improve skating if all the other pieces are there. He is the guy I think NHL GMs fall in love with and draft much higher then the draft sites will have him.
-
I have a feeling the name that is going to shock come draft day is Connor Geekie. I would not be surprised if we hear his name between the 3rd and 5th picks. He is the exact type of player the draft nerds won’t be as high on but some NHL front offices will be. The 6’4 offensive centre will have a lot of debates going on in draft rooms and I won’t be surprised if he jumps up like McTavish did.
-
LOL these draft rankings are all over the place from draft site to draft site. The most varied I can remember but Covid has played a huge role the past couple of years in the lack of viewings and the variance in rankings. It will be fascinating to see where the actual teams have the players rated come draft day.

I didn’t think it was that bad but the math checks out.😁 I don’t know if he will win the Hobey but he is the most important player to his team regardless. The future is bright in net we just need a bridge until the kids are ready.
