You have got it backwards. Dallas is in a jam. Bishop is almost ready to come back but they can’t bring him back off of LTIR because they have no cap space. Oettinger is their best goalie but he would have to be sent down because he is the only one with options. Khudobin and Bishop have NMCs.

Looking at Dallas, Holtby is the guy without any NMC, Khudobin and Bishop have them, so he would probably be the guy. Having a good season there. Would you be shocked if I told you Dell’s numbers are better this year then last year with NJ?🤣

Dallas is in a pickle. They can’t bring back Bishop off of IR because of a cap squeeze. They have Oettinger playing well, Holtby playing well, Khudobin stinking and Bishop looking to come back. Something has got to give there. I would gladly take Holtby or Bishop over what we have.

They need a goalie in here. A tank is for a generational player like a McDavid or Mario. No one in this draft is worth tanking for. All this is doing is stunting the progress of the kids. Get a freaking goalie!!!!!

What is the story on Logan Cooley? I have seen him usually ranked in the top 10, Button even has him at #2. Never watched him play. Is he a centre the Sabres would gravitate to?

Maybe they view a Samuelsson-Dahlin pairing and want him ready for top minutes when he comes up.

I disagree with those that think nothing will happen in net. The young kids development is stunted if they are constantly losing games because goaltending is failing. This is not a year to straight tank. There is no McDavid and the talent is spread pretty deep. The team to look at is Dallas. Ottenger is playing great for them plus they have Khudobin, Holtby and Bishop returning sometime soon. Four NHL quality goalies and only two spots. Khudobin is the one having the rough year statistically and Bishop is a wildcard. They aren’t moving Ottenger.

It is obvious that the goaltending is letting this organization down. Waiting for UPL to suddenly turn it around and be ready isn’t sound strategy. Adams need to get someone in here to stabilize the net for a while. I really wanted Vladar before Calgary grabbed him. I’m not sure who they are going to look at but Georgiev and Korpisalo are not the answers.

Did we already forget they were picked last OA, below Seattle and are missing some of their better players. They are punching above their weight. They could have won half of the past 10 games. We know they are a bad team.

Half the anger is over the Bills disaster just being brought over to the Sabres game. The bottom line is the Sabres are playing over their head for the lineup they are icing. Other then the Calgary game they are playing hard and are in almost every game.

Levi is full value for his numbers and the main reason North Eastern are where they are. They are opportunistic offensively and try to play structured defensively but Levi drives the bus. I imagine if the backup plays they don’t have a winning record. The interesting part of Levi is that his Carleton Place, WJC, and college numbers all line up. 3 teams, 3 different environments and he is consistent as can be. The difference between Levi’s numbers at Carleton Place and his backup’s numbers were striking.

The number one thing Adams has shown is that he sticks to his plan and no one or nothing is going to make him speed up or deviate from it. He wants to properly develop the kids and that is what he is going to do regardless of the standings.
