Body language looks a bit different then the Sabres end of season PCs. I just posted it for you guys. I could care less about Jack and Vegas anymore. I am more then happy with what Tuch, Krebs have brought to the organization, the 1st is a much better pick then I anticipated it being and there is a 2nd next year too.

How did not one reporter ask Adams about having to spend $20 million to get to the cap floor and how he would do it? That was the number one question I wanted answered. Even if he just tried to BS through an answer atleast it would give some insight to his thought process.

I would have to think McGroaty is on their list. That guy screams character. Ohgren too.

This is a scout’s draft. There is no absolute difference makers at the top of the draft like next year but there are a lot of solid guys right thru the second round. Most of the guys are kind of squeezed together so like others have said it is about picking the right guys. This is where the good scouting staffs make their hay. The last couple drafts are trending well so let’s hope the Sabres’ scouts have a good weekend.

Comrie is an interesting name to look at. That entire Jets organization will be interesting to watch this offseason to see where they go with that roster. Problem is the Sabres have to spend big money somewhere so throwing coin at a good goalie is the logical option. If thy spend somewhere else then Comrie would be someone to look at. He fits the age range that goalies come into their own.

That whole line was impressive. Lekkerimaki was the sniper, Östlund the brain and Ohgren the leader. They all meshed to make a very good, complete line.

Is Adams doing an end of season talk?

Muel says he has an ankle/foot thing and is not sure if he will play game 1.

What are people’s opinion of McGroaty? Guy is a leader and warrior type player. The skating will hold him back some. Thought he had a good tournament for the U.S. Do people see him going in the teens or late 20s? This draft is reminding me a lot of the NFL draft this year. No dominant guy at the top and a whole bunch of guys that can be grouped closely together. Rather have more kicks at the can in a year like this.

I wouldn’t draft him with Vegas’ pick. I don’t see the hype. I see a lot of Eichel vibes with bad body language on the ice, as well as dumb penalties and not doing much to get involved in the play. There are so many players I like more then him. I would take any of the 3 Swedish forwards before him, Gauthier, Kemell, Savoie, Kulich etc Not a fan.

Tage, Tuch, Cozens, Mitts, Power, VO, Asplund are guys I could see playing for their countries this year. Forgot about Skinner

I watched Wright and Kingston lose to Oshawa tonight. This is a year I wouldn’t want to win the lottery. Absolutely no assertiveness from Wright whatsoever. I don’t know how to describe it but it always looks like he is holding back but he just might not play with the pace necessary to be that impactful at the next level.

Players have to be on the Clear Day roster to be eligible to play in the playoffs. Sabres put Krebs, Muel and Fitzgerald on it so they can all play.

Great news. Quinn, JJ, Krebs etc get some invaluable playoff experience. I hope UPL is able to play.

Sam had one year to UFA which hurt his return somewhat. He got a 1st and one of the best goalie prospects around. The first will be late though. I think one more piece would have been nice but I think Levi becomes the guy here in a couple years.

As someone who lives in Ontario I have to point out the spelling here: Belleville and we are all rooting for Belleville today😀

Ducks had to use emergency goalie for 3rd period as both Gibson and Stolarz got injured. Goalies are dropping like flies the past few weeks.

Just thinking of where I was with this team at the end of the past few years and how much more hope and excitement for this offseason and moving forward. Really hoping for: 1) Amerks sneak in and the kids develop some more. 2) Have a good draft and add some more highs end young pieces. 3) Spend the money smartly. Really upgrade in net and add a good piece on the back end.
