Levi is friends with Cozens, Krebs and Quinn from the WJCs and said he became good buddies with Power from the Olympics.

Trade him right now! Showing up to openly mock the team that he didn’t sign with.😛

The pick is top 10 protected. Vegas chance of winning is tiny but if they did move up it can only be 10 spots, so from 16th to 6th. If that happened then the pick would defer to 2023 with no protection. The top 10 of the 2023 draft will be high end but no one knows where the dips will be after that. Just prepare for the 16th pick this year.

My God Canada. They have given up 9 PP goals against in the last 2 games. STOP TAKING PENALTIES!!!! And Kemell scores the hat trick goal in OT on a BRUTAL turnover by Fantilli.🤬

For those of you listing Georgiev as an option Rangers fans would like a word: https://hfboards.mandatory.com/threads/sieve.2882520/ LOL -
You are right but with this draft I have a feeling that the tiers will be quite different for a lot of teams. It will be hard to know who will be available at each spot.

Let’s hope Cederqvist-Rosen can be next year’s Quinn-JJ -
Gudbransen has flourished in Calgary with Zadorov as a big physical defensive pairing that know their role and keep it simple. I think he would be a good signing but he is not the guy to be Power’s partner He would be 3rd pairing, PK but would addalot of physicality and leadership back there.

Jiricek or Savoie falling to #9 is my hope for our pick. #16 is fascinating to me. There will be a run of LHD, there will be some US developmental guys and some European wingers in that range. It will depends who goes before the pick. 28-32 should be able to get an interesting guy here depending on how the other two picks go. If they went two forwards then I see them go D here or centre if a D was picked earlier. I just have to believe with Nightingale’s brother coaching the US team that the Sabres dip into that roster at some point in the draft.

Anyone know why Savoie didn't play for Winnipeg in their playoff game tonight? They won 10-1. Geekie had 1 point and Savoie didn't play. I would say they have a good team.

Seguin and Benn looked cooked. I was cringing watching them in OT -

Totally agree. This idea that these young goalies are ready to take the brass ring is silly. UPL is an unknown. Levi and Portillo haven’t signed yet. The Sabres need a known NHL commodity in net to stabilize the team. Let the young kids fight to take the crease when they eventually make it. A good NHL starter on a 3 to 4 year deal to settle the position would do wonder for this team. -
I know it is a couple games in a tournament but I have been completely underwhelmed by Nazar. I mean these young scouts that they like him better then Cooley the last half of the year, Yikes. Maybe he has been completely off his game so far and when your team is dominating everyone it can be tricky. Is that Nightingale’s brother or relative coaching Team USA. If that is the case you have to believe Buffalo will be going to Team USA a couple times in the draft.

I had my old 1986 NHL sticker album out a couple weeks ago and went through to look at goalie heights. Luit was 6’4, Barrasso was 6’3 and every other goalie was between 5’7 and 5’11.

Kulich has with a monster game today. Kid is a player.

Because: 1) Some of the elite scouts on the board have already made up their minds on these young players and know there is no possible way they will continue to develop and improve because they have prime examples of it in Dahlin and Tage. 2) There is no possible way anyone decent can be acquired in free agency. Apparently it has never happened and never will so we have to throw the young players away instead to acquire different players.

Interesting read. Another example to me of what a mess the rankings are for this draft. I expect Wright to go first but after that I really won’t be surprised by any picks that are made. The pandemic has really made this a crapshoot and a team with good scouts could have a field day this year. Let’s hope Buffalo continues their trend of quality drafting of the past few years.

Getting a legit goalie is numero uno but a dman is also on the docket. The Dahlin-Samuelsson pairing has been great and Power-Joker is good as well. It gives Adams a couple options. Bring in a top 4 RHD to play with Power. This was Adams mentality before Power joined the Sabres. I wonder if has changed now that they have seen Power play in the NHL and play with Joker. The second option is to keep those pairs together and sign someone like Gudbransen for the 3rd pair as a big, physical pk guy. He has strived in Calgary in that role.
