I see both sides. Right now is their playoffs. Quinn, JJ, UPL, these are must win games. Step up just like in a playoff series. It doesn’t look good for them making it but how the kids handle these games are huge for development.

The least they can do is fix the seats and slap some paint on the KBC. Any bigger Reno there will probably wait until they know the final tab on the football stadium.

I just don’t get what your whole point is here. You love Jack and are mad everyone else doesn’t? You want us supporting Jack in Vegas and cheering for him to do great things? People want to see Vegas lose for 3 reasons: 1) We have their first round pick. We want it to be the best pick possible. 2) Jack was a complete dick when he came back here. 3) Vegas had every advantage given to them when they entered the league. They had it made and then they got greedy and started screwing over their core people. Gallant, Fleury, etc.

Um, think about your post for a second. If at the beginning of the year I would have told you Vegas traded for Eichel who came back a few months after surgery and that we were the same team as them at the end of the year what would your reaction be? We were predicted to finish dead last overall. Vegas was a Cup contender. We are trending up, they look to be a dumpster fire with no cap space or young prospects or picks. Shine On!!

Reading the tea leaves, a couple of on air personalities have hinted that Fleury won’t return to Vegas because of DeBoer. There must be an issue there. So firing Gallant to bring in DeBoer looks to have cost them Fleury too. Vegas was the envy of the league then they decided to fly too close to the sun and it has been their downfall. Too many changes for that team. They lost a lot of the guys that made them special. They brought in huge pieces (Pacioretty, Stone, Pietroangelo, Eichel, Lehner) but lost that chemistry.

The Knights will never win with Lehner in net. Trading Fleury and signing Lehner long term is an all time blunder that will haunt that franchise.

You realize they are going to have to spend like $15-20 million just to get to the cap floor next season so they are allowed to play. There will be some signings or trades. If they are set on UPL being up here then fine, as long as Kuemper or Husso is the starter. They can also upgrade the 3rd pairing with a Gudbransen or Gudas like defensive thumper.

Even if he trades a first it is still 2 more 1sts added to the group. The Sabres have so many young players that they are in great shape moving forwards. Florida doesn’t have a pick until 2030.😛 They are built for now. Sabres are still building for tomorrow but tomorrow finally looks to be in sight.

Tage is a better fit here then Jack. Buffalo likes the hard working underdog. Tage was written off here, kept grinding and now has blossomed out of nowhere. Jack has always been the entitled prick that doesn’t fly in Buffalo. Tage isn’t as talented as Jack but I like what someone else mentioned, he can be just as effective. Tage is developing into a number 1 centre before our eyes. Man Tage and Tuch will be an absolute load to contain in a playoff series.

What cannot happen is Adams making decisions about the Sabres based on “will that upset Portillo or Johnson” if we bring in a starting goalie or sign a UFA dman upgrade. Worry about improving the Sabres. If those two want to sign great, if not then ship them somewhere but don’t make decisions hinging on their feelings.

And this is the biggest difference between junior kids and college kids. Bloom can sign and go back to juniors next year. If Levi, Portillo, Johnson etc sign then they have to turn pro immediately and forfeit their college rights. With college NIL deals I wonder if that will affect college kids signing pro deals in the future.

Do you really think Jiricek will be there between picks 8-10? it would be awesome if he was but I just don’t see it. If Jiricek or Savoie fell to that range it would be a great way to start the draft.

LOL his whole career LOL. My God let the kids grow and develop. The kid was WHL Player of the year coming off a severed Achilles. Give him a year or two and he will be a Doug Gilmour like player. If Power doesn’t score next game is he out the door too? If Quinn doesn’t get 35 goals next season do we move him? You would have run Tage out the door 2 years ago and be completely flummoxed that he blossomed somewhere else. Young players grow, develop and improve at the NHL level. Give it some time.

VO at 20 goals when he couldn’t shoot for half a season is pretty impressive. Healthy VO is 30+ on the year. They should not be looking to move on from VO or Mitts. Get a legit NHL goalie, upgrade the 3rd D pair, promote Quinn, maybe JJ and this team should be challenging for a playoff spot next season.

Is this a joke? Or an embarrassingly bad take. If you can’t look at Krebs and project his game in the coming years then yikes.
