I’m not going to argue with getting a quality stay at home d man. But I am going to argue this team badly needs 1 more offensive defenseman to take some pressure off Dahlin and help the forwards. Dahlin 42 assists Power 16 assists 24 of these assists (half) are on the PP Next closest D man: Lyubushkin 8 assists. That’s not good enough.

This group as constructed can’t play defensive cautious hockey. Needs to be pedal to medal all game.

And the first one back is at 12:30 on a Saturday So stupid. They’ll be fine.

Other then Tage’s health absolutely zero concerns from me. No shame losing to that team and I thought it was pretty even after 1 and we didn’t have Tage the 3rd period. That’s the quality of team we want to be and we will. This is going to take a little time and that’s why getting into the playoffs would be huge. But man the East. Friggin OV and Crosby are the 7th and 8th place teams.

We get Carolina on their 3rd game in 4 days - and it’s the second of a back to back for them. They destroyed Boston yesterday - who did play Saturday. Boston went 0-6 on the pp and only 25 shots on goal for the game.

When the Bills season’s have ended the last 4 years there’s been a black hole of sadness for Buffalo fans. The hockey team was a laughingstock and meaningful games in February and March meant draft position. Not anymore. This team hasn’t been relevant relevant since 2007. It hasn’t been consistently good since 1995-2002. I am blown away by what’s being built here. They’re so young. So talented. So well coached. We’re playing meaningful hockey in the spring. And we have the pieces being stacked to start getting to June. This core looks light years BETTER then those 90s and mid 2000s teams.
