  1. He was never “not a keeper”. He has been misused for 6+ years. Throw him on the 2nd line, throw him 18-22 mins a night, and all of a sudden he looks pretty good. Go figure.
  2. How are you liking him? i think he’s fine this season on the bottom pairing.
  3. What section were you in? i have seasons in 320. From that perspective you aren’t too far from me.
  4. I was “so so” on the 50th Jersey ... but after seeing them in motion on the players ...
  5. If you define a theme song as only a song or music they skate out to or plays after a goal is scored.... then yes the Sabre Dance Song is not “the theme song”. I don’t, so therefore I view the Sabre Dance song is and will forever be “theme song” for the franchise/team/organization. I’ve seen (heard) several songs thru the years the team skates to as they come out just before the anthems. I’ve seen (heard) several songs thru the years the “entertainment czar” chooses to play when the team scores a goal at home. I’ve never thought of it as a theme song. Besides the Sabre Dance Song. agree to disagree.
  6. I wonder if anyone really tracks and pays attention to all their predictions past an hour or so after the game is done. I know I don’t. I might be 100% or I might be 0%. ?‍♂️
  7. Sorry to be “that guy”.. voice is flat could of created original music A for effort C for lyrics F for originality (Ducks out of room as the boos and hisses rain down)
  8. Watch people come out of the woodwork and blame the lack of a morning skate is to blame for a home loss. ?
  9. Good. Keep up the great play. Don’t get injured too bad. Come to camp in 2020 with a ton of confidence and growth. Over the summer pack on 10-12 pounds of muscle. He should make the Sabres barring any setback/meltdown/injury.
  10. What do you define as… “Theme song“? Let’s start there....
  11. Fans who walk into KeyBank Center on Saturday night will be greeted by a series of banners hung throughout the atrium, each depicting a moment from the Sabres' 50-year history. There are images of Dominik Hasek, Pat LaFontaine, Danny Gare, and Daniel Briere. Fans will see Gilbert Perreault being carried on the shoulders of his teammates after scoring his 500th NHL goal and Ryan Miller and company at the inaugural Winter Classic in Orchard Park. Among those banners is an image of Jack Eichel celebrating his second NHL goal. Eichel will again find himself among Sabres greats prior to Saturday's home opener against New Jersey, when the team welcomes 15 former captains to the ice as part of a pregame ceremony. Eichel had just passed beneath those atrium banners as he considered what the moment will mean. "It's a really, really special moment just to put that into perspective and think about the franchise and obviously what an honor it is to be the captain of this franchise," he said. "To think about the history and all the past captains, what it was like for them to wear the 'C,' and for me to carry on the tradition - it's a complete honor. It's really cool that the Sabres are doing this tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to it."
  12. Gilbert Perreault. Danny Gare. Floyd Smith. Michael Peca. Craig Rivet. Toni Lydman. Gerry Meehan. Jochen Hecht. Brian Gionta. Don Luce. Brian Campbell. Mike Foligno. Donald Audette. Jason Pominville. Stu Barnes. Those 15 Sabres captains are back in Buffalo tonight to participate in a pregame ceremony to kick off the home portion of the Golden Season schedule. Smith, the first captain in team history, will drop the puck for a ceremonial faceoff. There's a Party in the Plaza starting at 5 p.m. featuring kid-friendly activities, sponsor activations, and live music from The Strictly Hip. The former captains will walk the Blue and Gold Carpet at around 5:30 to greet fans on their way into KeyBank Center. If you're attending the game, make sure you're in your seat by 6:45 p.m. so you don't miss any of the pregame ceremony. If you're enjoying the game on TV, catch the GMC Game Night pregame show on MSG at 6:30. Once the game gets going, Rick Jeanneret and Rob Ray will have the call on MSG and WGR 550. Tonight's game marks the 49th home-opener in franchise history. The Sabres are 21-20-7 all-time in their first home game of the season. Buffalo is looking for its first win in a home-opener since the team's 5-2 win vs. Philadelphia on Jan. 20, 2013. The Sabres have previously opened their home schedule against the Devils once in franchise history, a 2-1 win on Jan. 25, 1995 featuring Sabres goals by Donald Audette and Wayne Presley and a 29-save performance by Dominik Hasek. This is the first of three meetings between the Sabres and Devils this season. Last meeting: New Jersey defeated Buffalo 3-1 in New Jersey on March 25 Next meeting: Monday, Dec. 2 in Buffalo The Sabres are 3-6-1 in their last 10 games vs. the Devils; 4-5-1 at home.
  13. I’ll be at this barn burner with my wife. 4-3 Sabres win Risto, Skinner or Johansson with a goal.
  14. Anyone see Castle Rock? It looks good. I’m thinking of binge watching it in the next few weeks.
  15. Does this describe you? 1. In the Buffalo tv market 2. Have Roku 3. Have Fubo to get MSG (Buffalo feed) 4. Able to watch NBC and NBCSN Sabres games when they are on. 5. Get to watch all Sabres games that way. My scenario. I have an older plasma tv (not the smart tv type). I have a newer but still “pre smart” LCD tv. I have a PS4 hooked to the main living room TV. If you were me, how would you try to cut the cord without getting my monthly rate to equal my current Spectrum monthly rate of $140? I heard today that Spectrum will be raising the rates next month. Ugh!
  16. I couldn’t care less about ice times, as long as it helps to result in a win.
  17. I love the pace and aggressiveness the Sabres are dictating.
