  1. Thought it was humorous as well. At least the Kings have a sense of humor :)
  2. https://mobile.twitter.com/LAKings/status/834866187515219968?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw
  3. That 20 goal season was last year when he had sheltered minutes behind Dats. He's clearly not had a good campaign this season. Removed from the power play, cut from penalty killing and reduced to just over 10 minutes of ice time a game. One you can call that a sophomore slump, you can point to it as a product of the transitioning environment with the old guard on the roster leaving and the youth learning on the job, but there is certainly enough evidence to indicate he's not untouchable. If the price is right. This is why I indicated in a year or 2. Detroit is clearly in denial that a rebuild is needed. Retooling won't solve the cratoring holes in every key area of there roster. Temporary under-performing is one thing, but with half of their roster, it's gone beyond temporary and is showing that subpar is what they are. We'll see in a couple seasons if my analysis is correct, and in Larkins case, I'm counting on it.
  4. Pricey for Hainsey, but Pits already running into the dreaded defensemen injury bug. Maatta out 6 weeks and now Daley out from surgery.
  5. I want Tim Murray to get one player on this roster. We may have to wait another season or 2, but I want Dylan Larkin on Jack Eichel's LW. The same Dylan Larkin that Tim tried to move three 2nd red picks for at 15. Jack and Dylan have played together before. Larkin on Jack's LW, yes please. And the sooner the better.
  6. I think you can move Bogo. Ennis to Vegas is my hope. Moulson......that's an awful situation.
  7. 6 mil x 8 years......I'm open to that discussion. 6.5 or 7 and I'd trade him. The max I'd want to pay him is 6, but I would really like him at the 5.5 x 8 range.
  8. I'm guessing they'll want a scoring winger this dead line. Their big 3 are all 32 or older and heading to the back side of their careers. The time to go for it is now for them I'd imagine. They have the defensive ammo to really make a push, but we'll see if they go all in or remain decisively conservative on their approach. I will say Buffalo and Toronto really make good trading partners for Anaheim. The differences is Buffalo can offer more impact.
  9. Make it a complete deal. In order for cap to work, 50% retention on Kane, Nilsson, Gionta, one of Bailey/Baptiste, Manny 2nd, Buf/Was 3rd and we take Ritchie, Vatanen, Montour and Bernier. Adds 2.3 mil to the cap. We have the space. Saw this on another post, it's a good fit. Numbers check out according to capfriendly and fills needs on both teams. Allows deals for Kulikov and Mason seperatly for each club (Kulikov obviously deadline but Mason can ride until pre-expansion draft). This gives both teams flexibility, fills needs and solves issues. Protect Risto, McCabe, Vatanen, expose Bogosain, Gorges. On forwards, protect ROR, Okposo, Carrier, Foligno, Girgensons, Larsson and Des racing Ennis and Moulson exposed, forcing Vegas to take one out of the 4 bad contracts. And to further this, they'd most likely take Bogo and swing back around with one of their free slots for Ennis. It is a great deal many moving parts, be the hero Tim, get it done! :D
  10. Oh I don't know about 0 things. There is situational awareness to consider. Take Anaheim for example (and really, the prime example), they are in a real conundrum on several fronts. First, Fowler, Lindholm, Vatanen, Mason and Bieksa ( who must be protected) are 5 d-men that require protection. Bieksa, as noted, is a must. He's already stated he won't waive, last summer. So 2 LHD and 2 RHD. Something has to give or lose one for nothing and may have to actually pay so Vegas doesn't get to choose that something. I don't picture Ducks ownership or their GM as the type to give assets away when you can receive assets instead, do you? Second, there is Getzlaf, Perry and Kesler's window to contend to seriously consider for them. In May, Getzlaf and Perry turn 32, Kesler will be 33 at the start of next season. You can bet the Ducks are fully aware the window is on the back side. It's closing, 3 maybe 4 years? But this year and next look like all systems go for Cup runs. Third, needs! This can not be stressed enough. Anaheim has scoring woes on the wings. They need a top 6 scoring LW'er, a depth top nine utility 2 way winger that can net some pucks and a further RW ELC type at or near NHL level player for depth. Fourth, backup goaltending is shaky with Bernier at best. They'll need an upgrade that is also a UFA to allow them flexibility. I don't know, but the more i see Anaheim's situation, the more I see the Sabres as the right dance partner at the right time.
  11. Those 92 to 94 Sabres teams were fast paced offensive teams for the too line at least. But Cup? With depth scoring more consistent and a better D and yea, they could have pushed.
  12. I think it does, unless he's in a package.
  13. Stone from Arizona to Calgary for a 3rd and conditional 5th. Meh, depth D for Calgary, but that price was in the ball park.
  14. I hadn't thought mucus on ennis outside of Vegas. But I wonder if Tim can get something for him from a bubble team looking to try anything for a spark.
  15. Honestly? I'd say 6. 2 D, 1 RHD 1 LED 2 snipers (because both Jack and Sam are primarily playmaker) 2 bottom 6 2-way forwards that can PK
  16. To bad we don't have that top end D talent to partner with Risto, or McCabe...... I wonder what will bring that in? Hmmmmmmmmm........ :P
  17. I agree with everyone. Trade Kane :) By the way, pics of Tim Murray all over his phone this game....... Is Kane available Tim? Why yes, yes he is...... If he does get moved this deadline oh will this board explode faster than Clinton supporters on November 8th :D
  18. Yes, Murray traded for Kane. He also tried to move him this past summer...... Is your point was again?
  19. Posted 09 February 2017 - 10:00 I concur, and I believe Ennis will be the one they select given length and cost of contract combined with skill set and the flexibility Ennis had shown to play either wing Posted this on Feb. 9th over in the 3 weeks until TDL thread. Furthermore, if Buffalo doesn't protect Bogosain, he'll be gone. Gorges is a real possibility if not Bogo. I think people are under estimating the Vegas cap situation and the window with which to view a reasonable stabilization time frame.
  20. I would like to ask you something...... Are you the same JJ from Sabres Junkie?
  21. And which source would that be? The pre-season reports of Kane being shopped by reputable sources or Marty stating what he did?
  22. And you see, I don't believe that......you were expressing your opinion that is.... I kid, I kid. But I don't believe he is the heart and soul or a part of it. If you take a look at what were witnessing with the youth injection you quickly come to realize speed kills. And while Kane is quick, big and can finish, more of that is on the horizon from other players. I don't mention Jane's off ice issues because they are irrelevant to me. He is the most valued piece available to improve the "team". Note I said the "team". Kane's individualism had been on display most of his professional career. Let's also look at what Marty Biron stated this past week on the instigators, where he is under the impression Kane is not a part of the Sabres long term plans. Where there is smoke, there is fire. Speaking about Kane being traded is a natural progression to what is unfolding as the season moves along. He may not be moved this dead line, but I suspect his value is at its peak now. Not only that, but I most certainly don't believe he'll be a Sabre past next season, if not sooner. So looking at value and need are healthy discussions.
