  1. C.J. Smith, Bailey and Reinhart are the last RFA's to be signed. Does anyone see C.J. Smith making the Sabres this year?
  2. So did he or didn't he sign?
  3. Tampa Bay, if they land Karlsson, has a real shot at an Edmonton of the 80's type Dynasty. Holy Stevie Y, unreal this guy gets players and contracts like that.
  4. That concussion issue really derailed his career. Hope he turns it around.
  5. I wonder if Sam's agent is waiting on Nylander up in Toronto to sign to get a number gauged on Sam's worth.
  6. Did you like my new leash ?
  7. I still am finding it difficult to believe they haven't moved at least one of Girgs, Larsson or Pominville yet. I'm hoping their plan isn't to have all 3 of these guys on the roster come October.
  8. So much youth, so much unknowns with the new players coming in chemistry wise, still having slower players on the roster, the defense is a larger unknown and the netminding has question marks. Just to much right now for me to pull them out of the basement yet. I voted dead last.
  9. Looking at the LHD depth in the organization I have to believe a trade is coming somewhere down the pipeline.
  10. Pegula isn't a Democrat supporter, just so your aware.
  11. And honestly, why wouldn't this take place? After all, we are currently speaking on a heavy dose of youth injection. Mistakes will be made on the ice by the young players themselves, of this I have little doubt. That isn't entirely about the head coach, that's equally a part of the equation to gain experience with the speed of the game, the size of the players they will be facing and other variables. That isn't to say Phil shouldn't be held to account for their preparedness, but let's be candid about the situation, we are now rebuilding the rebuild. That alone accounts for some time for Phil. And I'm no Phil as coach fan.
  12. Erik Karlsson is Swedish, no? He belongs in Buffalo then ?
  13. It appears he's taking that route. The only question I have is how long before we start seeing results, because right now, this organization appears to be a mess.
  14. I hadn't had a chance to comment on this trade, but it does seem a bit low in value for a player of O'Reilly's caliber. Was there an underlying problem in the locker room, or was Botterill sending a message? Tage Thompson? A protected 1st? Another Swede and a salary cap dump topped off by a throw in 2nd? I really hope Botterill knows what he's doing, because that package appears significantly underwhelming.
  15. yes, I lost all my information from my email and sabrespace.
  16. I thought Sam really stepped in when Jack went down with the injury. I do wonder with O'Relly gone if that is going to impact his offensive production since it appeared they had some chemistry together. I hope we re-sign him for longer than 2 or 3 years. Never hurts to have a 50 point young player with some upside. And right now, this team needs all the help it can get.
  17. Kid doesn't look that out of place. Let's hope he doesn't fall in to the Buffalo black hole of guys who can't score.
  18. Nice to see s9me of the help starting to s8gn and arriving. Very hopeful this kid pans out chemistry wise.
  19. There is much truth in this. But it also is a one sided representation of what was the NHL talent structure. In that, I mean you need some talent, high end talent, to increase the teams potential to be competitive again. Bit the article, in specific Pommers statement on the Oilers, where perpetually getting high end talent alone is no recipe for success is accurate. After the 14 to 16 seasons, this team has unsuccessfully built around the components they gathered at the high end. It is only my opinion, but another high draft pick won't solve that issue. Competent leadership with vision, specifically from the GM, AGM, AHL farm team development and inparticularly, the coaching staff has to both bring in the required talent for proper chemistry in conjunction with holding all assets accountable for their play on the ice. The failure of this organization to properly do so is on full display. I do however, believe this does not constitute the current management and coaching staffs be labeled complete write offs. This off season in my mind will be more appropriate for that scenario.
  20. Larry Quinn is ultimately responsible for the tank, with Tom Galisano and Darcy Rieger as co-conspirators. The loss of two top talents for 0 in return set this team back 20 years, to the days of the mid 80's.
  21. When is this hellish hockey nightmare going to end in Buffalo already
  22. Looking for a pulse from anyone in blue & gold. Patient appears flatlined......again
  23. No such thing as taking a man who only 2wanted us to l9ve one another to far.As with anything else in human behavior, its how others view, portray or skew such teachings. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the original message. Wouldn't you agree?
