  1. Eichel hasn't been great. Great players don't "try", they "do". So far all I've seen is the same half assed attempts from the past 2 games. No player on this team is doing "great" right now. They want to "make a difference", then "be the difference".
  2. Their going to be to tired to win this one. To many penalties already, and with the players on this roster, who don't want to put in disciplined effort, it's already an L in the win/loss column.
  3. This team cannot find the back of the net to save themselves. Talent is supposedly here, it's as if players that end up in Buffalo become a scoring blackhole. And it is more than obvious the coaching is far far subpar.
  4. yea, I haven't said much of anything on the coaching situation yet, but I'm fast getting on board with getting rid of the entire coaching staff.
  5. Yep, thanks Okposo, appreciate that crap
  6. you can thank Okposo for that fiasco. dumb penalty
  7. Okposo is a liability to this club
  8. a 7th round pick is a Sabres prospect as a surprise sleeper? It's about dam time we hit on one of these late rounders. He looks like a solid sniper. How's his speed? Defensive game? Does it appear he is top 3, 6 material? And most important of all, I have a 22 year old daughter, photographer, where's he hang out? Inquiring Dad wants to know.
  9. I'll need to see a DNA test before you can claim to be a native rain cloud...………..
  10. Thoughts on the kid so far...…. Has a very good reach, when he uses it. Brings a great deal of surprise with his foot work. Needs to learn to use his body size more effectively along the boards and open ice, but he is learning on the fly, will re-visit in Jan. if he's still on the roster. Not a ton of speed there, but does seem to use his foot work to counter that to some extent, needs to learn to use his team mates on the ice more effectively, especially positioning and timing. Also, hangs the puck out there to long, must get quicker in getting rid of it to team mates, which reverts back to first sentence. Not great on the back check, will need a defensively responsible center with speed to play with, Asplund when he comes up perhaps? Not sure, but he does need assistance in that dept. for sure in my opinion. Over all I am optimistic we have a decent to potentially very good 3rd line LW'er here. At the very least a future 3/4 tweener with potential to shift up and down the left wing of the line up when needed. Should be developing his PK skills.
  11. Ullmark does look good. Thompson looks engaged as well. Like Girgs grit this game. Not a Scandella fan this game.
  12. yea, that wasn't good
  13. sheary has some shot control skill
  14. Yes he did. Blind announcing?
  15. oooooh, Dahlin has a nice point shot. I like this kid.
  16. Because it wasn't icing, and the ref knew the D man could have taken that last stride to get it, but was forced to blow the whistle as the D man let up right above the dot.
  17. Would like it if they showed up tonight, not holding out hope though. 50/50, we'll see Go Sabres!
  18. It goes deeper than this I fear. But your on the right track. Culture is still a huge problem it appears. Any player on the Sabres that accepts the effort and commitment levels of the Boston and Colorado games need to go ASAP. Just point blank unacceptable. As for Toronto and Mathews, Marner, Tavares and the surrounding talent, I am now fully tilted to the very strong possibility that the next 10 to 12 years are now a lost cause for the Sabres. As it stands today, the rebuild has been a complete disaster. Early indications are the Culture and absence of elite high end talent are the foundational problems. Just my opinion, but I don't see Buffalo having the ability to win a playoff series in the next 6 years or so, if they even make the playoffs. The Eastern Conference just has to many teams more talented and committed than Buffalo.
  19. And the legend of Toronto grows, Mathews, Tavares, as Buffalo continues to look like a puppy lost in the woods.
  20. Mathews is tearing up the score sheet right now. Toronto has one hell of a team to be sure.
  21. Just one thought comes to mind...…….. 21st over all, in a deep draft class, for 1 goalie who could not stop a breakaway or shootout puck to help "The Team"! Sometimes irony comes in the form of a backup goalie dressed as a starter playing like an AHL backup while speaking like an ECHL throw away with a bitter taste in his mouth...…..
  22. You'd have to offer a very enticing package to get a 3rd party team who could acquire him to deal him to us. Nylander is young, skilled, the kind of winger you'd expect a rebuilding or mid tier team to keep. It would take more than 2 firsts + in my opinion.
  23. I hear ya, I wanted that 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th goal, with those 5 assists...…./s
  24. I would like that setup...….BUT...…….I would really love LEAFS vs SABRES......ECF with home ice ?
