  1. I don't think it's either, to be honest. These players have the talent. But their motors are just zero. I watched multiple times as the Jets players just straight out beat our boys to pucks, and not due to speed, but due to lack of legs moving. If that is the strategy, it's not working lol.
  2. Watch the replay of this game, the Arizona game and the Knights game. You'll all notice something. The lack of desperation on the puck battles. Our boys don't hound the puck, it's our Achilles heel to be sure.
  3. He seems to have that sharp cut skating, I like it. Hard to get a read on his stick work and shooting skill since we spend a majority of games defending.
  4. Meh, same ole' same ole'. Although I know it's not right, but...……………….trade everyone but Eichel, Dahlin, Jokiharu and Sabretooth.
  5. I pointed out only what I watched on video's mind you, but there's nearly 4 hours of it all over the net, you can look them up. Not that it will matter much since our odds of getting to the pick to get him, but If I'm picking 1 or 2, I want a complete 200 ft game. Just my take is all.
  6. We have a guy like that, but we traded him for 2 Ville Leino's and a guy who can't stop a beachball ?
  7. You and Ink, are just freaking awesome ?
  8. Ink, your on a roll, my whole family is in stitches, and all agree with you lol *****..... ing epic thread tonight, thank you, just thank you......
  9. But what about the bobblehead dolls? They look much better then the tank year ones ? , no?
  10. Some of them are from his team sight, some from others. Just take the time to roll through them. Trust me, I wouldn't say it unless I did.
  11. Why? It doesn't matter what draft pick they get. The organization would just ruin their career anyways.
  12. My mom is 72 with emphysema, I'd appreciate you NOT rooting for her death. Thank You.
  13. OH LOOK, a Botterill special ?
  14. Frustrating that this roster has a very hard time shooting high corners. Risto with a fantastic chance, low in the pads/chest. Corners boys! CORNERS!!!!
  15. Just type in quinton byfield game videos and start rolling through them. The highlights are at the top, then go from there.
  16. Touche' kind sir, Touche' ?
  17. While I agree with your assessment, I do not agree on Byfield. I've watched quite a bit of the video on this kid, almost 4 hours worth. Not seeing it. He often lags behind on turning back up ice for D play, he also appears to be 2nd or 3rd man in on rushes up ice. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but outside of his highlight reel video's the ones I watched from his team sight show significantly reduced speed up and down the ice in a 200 ft game. I could be wrong, but normally, the eyes tell the story. We shall see in the future.
  18. While I enjoy reading on analysis that "this years draft class will be deep", more often than not, that is not the case. Personally, I don't view this draft class from Over All 3rd pick on up to being any kind of an immediate game contributor. And Bayfield is suspect based on his skating speed, and it is suspect, regardless of the hockey world pundits. Go ahead, review his game video's, I have. It's not exactly hyperdrive, if you know what I mean. Not saying I am right, but the "tale of the video evidence" doesn't exactly lie either. So, the draft is nice and all, but at the end of the day, outside of lottery balling in to 1st overall, don't expect immediate draft help. The Sabres aren't building for the future, they are in the "Here and Now" stage, given the age's of their core star players. It's either now, or never, so to speak.
  19. I believe that would a reaction to the idea. Poorly done? Sure. But it alludes to the feeling many fans have to your initial proposal. I'm personally opposed to paying players outside of their normal funnel of funding (which is a paycheck directly from the Sabres). And I've stated my reasoning as to why. Interesting as though it may be, it won't solve the Sabres current woes, which are well documented at this time. But I do appreciate your candor in such an idea. I think it's time to move beyond that, the larger answer to the proposal, both here on this board as well as those who would eventually catch information on this will be the same. No, if the players aren't incentivized enough with their pay from their employer, they'll need to look elsewhere for monetary encouragement. Might I suggest performing on the Ice, during games, ABOVE AND BEYOND the competition. That more often than not leads to secondary large cash cows. In the meantime, can we get back to discussing how to better the team overall talent wise, for longevity? This type of asset conversation is sure to produce much better results than your aforementioned "circumvent the cap pay scheme". Just saying.
  20. question, how do I know who a moderator is? Thanks.
