  1. Flagg addressed the woes of penciling in prospects like it's going to succeed. Moving MoJo to RW is equally as silly. And for good reason. Buffalo has only 4 right handed shot wingers, Reinhart, Okposo, Rodriguez and Lazar. They need to upgrade that RW right handed shot position along with 2C imo. After all, Okposo, Rodriguez and Lazar are not considered snipers by any stretch of the imagination, not to mention they use Rodriguez and Lazar at center from time to time. The reason I bring this up is because I've seen on more than several occasions a left handed shot on the RW where because of their stick placement it actually cost them quality scoring chances. Is it that critical? Well, sometimes it can be the difference between Wins and Loses through moment in games and so on, so, yea, to me in any event, it is that critical.
  2. The last 2 trades (Zucker to Pitt and Coleman to Tampa) prove it's only a sellers market for players with term. Teams are moving away from the high priced rentals the league saw a few years ago. So no, it's not really a sellers market in the pure UFA sense of the meaning imo.
  3. Damn internal alarm clock has me getting up everyday at or near 5am, even the weekends and my days off. So, I stumble as quietly as I can out of bed, trying not to wake the Mrs. gather up the 3 pooches as best I can, make my way down stairs, feed them, let them out, brew my coffee and sit down to Jeremiah Johnson for an early morning movie. While watching Redford stagger through the Rockies, I was over on HF reading the morning Leafs fans implosion posts from last night and checking in on any early morning trade potentials. As I sat here looking at that Tampa and New Jersey trade, it suddenly dawned on me, Coleman has played a great deal of center for the Devils. So I started looking up Tampa's center spine situation, game logs and so on. Tampa runs Stamkos, Point, Parquette and Cerilli as their center spine most of the season. So, given some have mentioned Cerilli possibly moving, my question is this, Is the Coleman trade a precursor to a Cerilli trade? After reviewing their capfriendly page, I can see the reason they'd have to trade him if he's looking for a long term contract as opposed to a bridge deal. Any thoughts on this anyone?
  4. I agree completely with you Taro. As a matter of fact, I had 200 level tickets to tonights game. I sold them to Toronto fans. I make no bones about it. I had no engagements which prevented me from going to the game.I paid 207 dollars for 4 tickets, myself, my significant other and my 2 daughters, 23 and 15. My 23 yr old played for NU women's, she's an ardent fan. Here is the kicker, we've done this over the course of the past 4 years, sometimes pack purchases, sometimes individual games, only 1 or 2 through out the season. It's not that we can't financially afford it, it's the product on the ice. And I know you've heard it a thousand fold times before, but that product on the ice does matter. I sold my tickets this evening, all 4, 200 level, for 475 dollars each, after paying 207 dollars each for them. I don't need the money Taro, we are doing just fine, but, the offer was made through a friend and all 3 of my family didn't want to go, I was the only one who did. The reason? Well, my daughters both say they hate the losing. My significant other says she can find better things to do with her time. It is, what the product is. Just like anything else.
  5. My family friend tells me they've released over 2000 on that Cruise ship. There are over 800 confirmed cases he tells me, they expect some not to make it. It hasn't been reported yet, but 6 individuals that had direct contact with the cruise ship and were allowed to roam free in and around the greater Tokyo Bay southern area have been confirmed to have contracted the virus. My friend tells me local authorities, as I type this to you, are identifying potential exposure to others. That's all I have from my convo's.

  18. First it was the new year stretch, Then it was this home game stretch, Now, it comes down to the next couple of games, We are 11 points out of a wild card spot, 8 points out from catching the Maple Leafs in that 3rd division slot. We all know the score, Botterill's unwillingness to pay the higher prices earlier in the season to bring in help for this roster has taken a toll on the playoff chances, that is even if there were willing dance partners to begin with. But we've discussed this at length. It all comes down to what is on the roster now, can they force Botterill to at least make a couple of moves for a playoff push by the deadline? Just how committed are the Pegula's to seeing this team fight for it until the very end? It all rests on Eichel's shoulders now, but he'll need the entire team to play mistake free hockey, and some help in the scoring department. The return of Olofsson is a huge boost, can Reinhart and Skinner show up for full 60's? Can the defense hold the line and shut down the speed of Toronto? These next couple of games should tell the story.
  19. Yes please to Trocheck. Botterill sadly will never acquire him however, likes the players we have, something something.......
  20. Sorry Swamp, couldn't resist ? And I understand why you did it, I'm not a medical person by any stretch, when I started the thread, I openly admit I was (and still am by the way) very concerned by what my family friend was telling me what he was witnessing and a part of in Japan with the Cruise Ship. Still, this one concerns me, I'm a smoker, almost 50, this virus is like the Grim Reeper is coming to get me lol
