Not being behind closed doors, I am not aware who pushed moving ROR. So I won't deduce it was Botterill's idea, and I won't hold him to account for telling the Pegula's ROR stays or I go. That is not a realistic scenario, imho. I mean, honestly, could you imagine: Botterill: "ROR stays" Pegulas: "No, he goes" Botterill: "He stays!" Pegulas: "He's going, and you can always go with him!" Botterill: "Ok, he goes" ? Moral of this fantasy story (as are all stories surrounding the ROR saga, unless you were there) is DON'T BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU ?

I happen to agree with you, except, Bogo wasn't the only bad contract, Okposo's contract, although he does contribute some, is less than desirable for the production. Otherwise, carry on...……...

Wasn't it reported Carolina had a deal on the table, and the Pegula's opted not to pay the bonus, so St. Louis it was? If there is any truth to that, I don't put the blame on Botterill, I put it on the Pegula's. Once again, if there is truth in it.

Lol, sorry, typing ahead of myself. Anything is possible, no matter how improbable, if the math works. And in this case, they are not mathematically eliminated...….yet. Botterill is looking for a top 6 with term, and no matter what the analytical hockey world pundits say, this deadline is as equally capable of landing that as the off season is. We have until 3pm Monday to find out. In the mean time, Botterill wants the playoffs in my humble opinion, moves are coming, for what price and exactly what in return, sometimes the waiting game pays off...…………….

I think he's going to bring in Trocheck from Florida. We don't play again until Saturday, he has time before then. And I don't think that's the only deal he'll make, I think another goalie is coming in as well. Along with another player or 2 to boot. I believe Botterill wants the playoffs, and I think he's going to bolster the roster to push up on Toronto and Florida. Just a hunch.

As for myself I'd have no problem with that. We are within striking distance of a playoff spot. He's had near 3 seasons to get the team in the playoffs, and while I agree hunting pure rentals only isn't the sound way to go, nor should he, there should be deals out there that can contribute to a push now imo. Tic Toc, Tic Toc Jason.....

Meh, not interested in his emotional state. He sees the problems with this team the same as the rest of us. I'm interested in what he intends to do about it and when. Everyday he waits is confirmation to myself that he has already written this season off. And if that is the case, he must go. I want a team top to bottom that fights for that playoff birth until the very end, I'm sick of "waiting for next season". That is the mindset of the weak imo.

This season isn't over. We're within striking distance of Toronto who's defence is in shambles. Address the net minder and center position NOW!!!! It is imperative he does it NOW!!!! Get on it Botterill, you've wasted enough time already!!! Never surrender, never give up the ship!!!! With your last breathe's spit at it!!!! Ultimately it is Botterill who is responsible for where the team is at. He built this roster, he hired the coaching staff to teach it. There is no blaming the players, no blaming the coaches, the excuses of not talented enough or lack drive and passion are just that, excuses. It is Jason Botterill who assembled the product on the 8ce, he 8s ultimately the decision maker, and over 3 seasons, it is beyond safe to say, he makes an overwhelming number of poor decisions.
