  1. The NE offense is not prolific by any stretch. I think ranked 16th in yards. Around 388/game at home. And the Bills defense held them to 288. How is that not a superior effort, and an equally important contribution to the win?
  2. We bought our oldest a Karaoke machine. He is 15 and challenged with language due to autism. Seeing him sing, reading the lyrics from the display and his enthusiasm was priceless. His music selection ran the spectrum from Disney classics to Tom Jones “It’s not unusual” and the Go-go’s “We got the beat”.
  3. Catherine Smith. Concubine to The Band, mistress to Gordie and the muse of the lyrics for Sundown, and drug dealer who injected the speedball to Belushi.
  4. Live, love, laugh; Yes you can; Never give up
  5. Hayden has played well the last three games. Not sure how Bjork jumps him in the starting line up. Thinking of a time when Mitts, Tage, Quinn, Krebbs and JJP will make these decisions irrelevant.
  6. Why do most executives (pre Covid) travel unnecessarily, all the time? Absence (from their spouse) makes the heart grow fonder. RJ enjoys the road. The hotels, and the hotel bars. The unquestioned expense account. #perks.
  7. I’m not trying to equate on ice performance with the off ice stuff, but to me it speaks volumes about what is deemed acceptable by the organization (I.e Terry). And that could be applied to other parts of the Sabres if true. What are other teams doing as part of game day prep should be reviewed and compared? If it were not for Marty Biron between periods analysis there is zero chance I would tune in to the Sabres broadcast.
  8. What’s the shame is, is that the broadcast crew should be providing insight to their opponent in depth each game, and I often see the Buffalo MSG team fail to do this on a regular basis. We should know all their injuries, recent line changes and discussions on their forums, because that’s the freaking job of the telecast. I watched the Rangers and Caps broadcasts recently and it was filled with conversations about the past few games the Sabres played, almost like they spend time watching games, researching and preparing. Joe Micheletti Is not exactly a young color analyst. Well, actually in comparison to Sam Rosen maybe his is. Point being this guy works for his check. His commentary was filled with insight on Mitts surgery, Tage’s performance this year at Center, how Tage played last time they player in NYC, the injuries of Tuch, Peyton Krebs as the prospect in the trade, the Sabres starting 5 goalies this year, who the other four were and injuries to Anderson and Tokarski. They even did a spotlight on Victor Friday night. Maybe the enlightened fans here who have Centre Ice and watch 7 games a week know this of all opposing teams, but the average fan for the Rangers or Caps enjoy the luxury of learning and understanding a little about the team they are playing because of a well executed and prepared broadcast team. The Sabres desperately need to watch what other teams are doing and demand better. Our fans deserve so much better.
  9. What’s the sweetener necessary to pry Alexa from the Caps, for Duffer?
  10. Hagg with two hits on Shearey. Nice substitution.
  11. Horrible decision by Bryson. And doesn’t even commit to contact. Weak.
  12. Loved his attitude last night. Especially at the end of the game after the slew foot from Goodrow. That dude needs a ***** pounding. The slash to the back of the legs is just a primer.
  13. It's not turnovers. In fact, he was above average on the PP last night. It's the ability to defend in his own end. What exactly did you see in his game last night that was impressive? The board can and will over react, based on higher expectations. Right or wrong, he is playing the most minutes by far, so the bar is set high. In last nights game, his pairing with Joki (which I abhor) was by far the worst in terms of expected goal diff, Corsi, Fenwick and other advanced stats. They played ~19 5/5 minutes and gave up almost 3 times the shots than the Bryson/Miller pairing playing about 15 minutes. The eye test shows not once but twice that he slid to disrupt a pass and whiffed. The first time on a 2 on 1 break and another where UPL saves his bacon and makes a spectacular blocker save. And finally, even though we now know he was exonerated for his offside (singular 😉) play, he shouldn't have put the Sabres in that position in the first place.
