#9 I'm hoping for RW Joakim Kemell, he isn't huge at 5'11" 176 lbs. by any means but he is very scrappy, plays at a high energy and is a relentless shooter. at #16 Cutter Gauthier would be another excellent addition, decent size at 6'2" 190 lbs., he isn't a power forward yet but I think he could easily turn into 1 down the road, just sucks he's another one that is at Boston College, that always makes me wonder if the kid will sign or go somewhere else.

So we could potentially lose Levi, Portillo and Johnson? That's brutal.

Those are all fair points and questions. I still feel that even though we had a good run there we're going to have a very difficult time getting a top notch goalie here. I hope I'm wrong and that you're right about opposing teams are seeing a culture shift here. Another problem I have assessing this Sabres team is Granato basically gave players the freedom to do what they wanted knowing this season is over (It was said in many interviews after games). I want to see how this team plays when there is something on the line, it was great to see them change the culture towards the end now I want to see a run at the playoffs. I didn't have the Sabres making the playoffs this season but I think with a few additions that I mentioned it's quite possible and it really will depend on our goalie situation.

Unfortunately when you start poaching other teams RFA, they will do the same to us at the most inconvenient time when a bunch of are young players become RFA, if KA is good with that then he should use every avenue possible to better this team imo.

The Rangers would be in serious trouble if the Pens didn't have goalie issues imo.

I like as much as anyone that we had a couple of months of solid hockey but I don't think it makes up for the decade plus of being mediocre do you? You think a Keumpfer or somebody like that coming from a top notch playoff team wants to come to a team that hasnt made the playoffs in the most consecutive years ? Also Levi and Portillo might not even sign here. I also said we may not re-sign Olofsson as in he may not want to re-sign or he might be asking for more than what we think he is worth etc. , Odds are he'll re-sign but I was just saying things can turn sour fast. Im not trying to be a debbie downer but I'm trying to be realistic. We have to spend 22M to reach the cap floor so I'd really like to spend it wisely, if Dahlin is going to transition to RHD we still need a solid RHD to take the vacancy of Colin Miller. Hopefully and upgrade over Hinostroza at Wing and a goalie, even if Portillo and Levi sign next season they'll be headed to the Amerks, I doubt they bypass the AHL and go straight to NHL so that's at least 2 years before they arrive.

A goalie, 2 RHD is aust imo, I just don't see too many goalies lining up to want to play here. Maybe if we crazily overpay 1. That will be the theme this off-season. Plus we need upgrades to Vinny Hinostroza, maybe Olofsson if he isn't re-signed. Drafting well is going to be extremely important also. I'd like to get bigger and tougher to play against.

I'm not sure but isn't Isaak Rosen going to be added to Rochester, I would think that makes sense. Plus we'll have this entire draft class upcoming, I would assume a few make it to Rochester.

I really love the mindsets of our guys, what a change from the head dragging Eichel, Reinhart and Rustolainen all basically saying they don't want to be here. These guys played like a cohesive unit and although I like the feel good stories they really need to upgrade G Craig Anderson, RHD Mark Pysyk, fill the RHD Colin Miller role at the very least. I don't think it will be easy at all getting a goalie to play here even how we played down the stretch, I think we're going to seriously need to overpay one, just my opinion. Probably the same with Colin Miller's replacement as well. Jack Quinn will definitely help us so will UPL, Another scoring winger would be nice also.

Everytime I hear or see greatness I always feel honored. Whether it's a player on another team, Wayne Gretzky traded to the LA Kings, Mark Messier guaranteeing a victory or the Russians being defeated by USA in the "miracle" game. Also our own memories like the May Day clincher, the Hasek triple OT and now the retirement of the best Sabres announcer of all the. Although it's going to suck not hearing RJ anymore, I'll always remember those good memories and saying like "Top shelf where momma hides the cookies" which I use every time I score on my son up high 😂 or "Now do you believe" , I'll constantly YouTube him and when I was younger I made a bunch of 80s through 90s fight tapes with all sorts of RJ gems in them so I might just get that VCR tape converted into a DVD. I feel more honored than sad though.

Tage has been amazing, I love the transformation. My only problem with him is that this is by far his best season so is this a breakthrough or is this a fluke? I'm really hoping we found a diamond in the rough.

Not at all but he doesn't need to be, if he is a perennial 30 goal scorer with a great attitude then we win either way and shouldn't we more be comparing him to Ryan O'Reilly than Jack Eichel since that's how we acquired him? Now that may be a different story.

That would be a big mistake imo going into the off-season thinking we just need a goalie. Still need a solid RHD, Starting Goalie, upgrade over Hinostroza, are we re-signing Olofsson? I'd also hope they find an upgrade over Middelstadt. They need to spend 22M to get to the cap floor so some upgrades will be in order and much needed.

Power looked like he belonged, that's great to see and great start for him. Dahlin looked like he was on a mission to show him what a real #1 overall looks like. He and Samuelsson are going to be lethal. Hopefully they can pair Power with a solid veteran (Klingberg please) in FA. Middelstadt was only semi useless, he made some good gritty plays but once again gave up 2 passes that could have cost us. Rasmus Asplunds hard work finally pays off, love to see it.
