Well the NLL has been around since what 1987? And still going on today so more than a few people are watching it. I've been to about 20 Bandits games in my time and had the privilege to watch Tavares play, he was as advertised and until you mentioned it I had no clue he was the brother of the Hockey player.

Wow, he's a GOAT in the Lacrosse world, arguably the greatest NLL player of this generation.

First I'll start off by saying thank goodness we didn't get Patrick Kane and a bunch of other high priced free agents that will take a spot from a young player, I feel like this is the year we find our core players, move forward with those guys and then add in FA/ draft to fill in. I would have liked another veteran RHD if I'm being nit-pickish but I'm good where we are. Now for the question did we improve? My answer is yes, in net Comrie, to go along with Anderson and UPL if needed provides a much more stable group imo. Comrie doesn't have a large sample of great play but was solid in his time given. Also we got better defensively with Lybushkin. Also imo another year of growth for Cozens, Thompson, Power, Jokiharu, Dahlin, Mittlestadt will most likely be noticable.

If the Flames had to give away Monahan with a first round pick I don’t think it would have been that easy to deal him at the deadline for assets unless he tore it up for us in which case we’d probably want to keep him, no?

We still don’t know who the core will be on this roster, we all have an idea but that can all change pretty quickly. Bringing in a veteran C doesn’t do much good for us imo.

I think Florida definitely got the upper hand here as they get a 25 year old in the prime of his career for a 30 year old who had a career year but getting Weegar and a 1st round pick although most likely a late round pick was a solid get. I doubt Huberdeau re-signs so I don't really like that for Calgary but a solid return knowing the player stated he wouldn't re-sign there imo.

You could be right, I’m definitely not an expert on these prospects but I don’t recall reading anywhere that he was “NHL ready” out of the gate, not that it really means much.

UPL, Bloom, Cedarqvist, Rosen, Malone, Kulich, Östlund, Savoie, Lindgren, Paltopov. Fitzgerald, Prow. Not all of these players will be there this season but will be there soon. I think we have a solid roster in the AHL that will compete.

Does any GM sign a player before he produces? If a player knows their elite why would they sign early knowing they can make way more in 2 more seasons? Since it's for fun I'd say Jack Quinn, I think he has a great chance at becoming a core player, I would not hate locking him up earlier than expected. Thompson is scary to me as he came out of nowhere, I didn't see much out of him before this past season and I hope this is truly who he is but it's very hard to predict.

Falling in Reverse- Syracuse is the closest August 4th, definitely have to check them out, Ronnie is excellent live so it should be a blast!

I voted Dylan Cozens, I'm really hoping he turns into a Cam Neely type of player. He already sticks up for teammates, throws his body around now I'm hoping his offensive game comes around, if so he will be an awesome all around player for us. I apparently can't read, so my 2nd is G Eric Comrie, the Sabres wanted him because they believe he is coming into his prime, which Adams said in the interview after FA. If we can get 2nd half Sabres along with stable goaltending we will be golden.

I don't believe KA would gift anyone a spot. His saying continues to be "I want players who want to be Sabres, he talks continuously in the Embedded videos about character/culture in players so I doubt he's bending over backwards for Johnson. Portillo and Levi could be a different story since we're desperate for goaltending right now but I still doubt he is panicking.

I think he'll be our 2nd line C, put him with better wingers (Quinn/Skinner) and watch him become something special imo. I still hope Middlestadt turns into a solid C but I don't like much of what I've seen from him so far, I still hold out hope which is all you can do at this point.

I like what Adams has done and refuses to be rushed. I'm not entirely sold on Granato, the team played hard for him but were basically given the green light to play freely, will that work now that playoffs are on the line? I hope that he does well and he's very likeable.

This just tells me next year they will be pulling a Ottawa, then we can welcome Patrick Kane. 😅

Hey if we’re being bold then Eric Comrie turns into Carey Price (I won’t ever say Hasek since there is only 1 slinky). Dahlin, Power, Lybushkin, Samuelsson, Jokiharju and Bryson form the best young d core the league has ever seen before.

Ottawa is clearly going for it and has a solid young roster with Alex Debrincat, Brady Tkachuck, Thomas Chabot, Drake Batherson, Tim Stutzle, Josh Norris, Erik Brannstrom, Shane Pinto, Claude Giroux and add Cam Talbot in net and that's a pretty solid core right there worthy of making a serious playoff run. Detroit is right behind them with a nice blend of solid vets and young core pieces in Lucas Raymond, Moritz Seider, Dylan Larkin, Tyler Bertuzzi, Filip Zadina, Jacob Vrana, Dominik Kubalik, Andrew Copp, Ben Chariot, Gustav Lindtrom and Ville Husso in net. I think we finish behind both those teams this season but we'll find out who our core pieces going forward are like is Tage Thompson going to be an 80 point, 40 goal scorer each year or was he a 1 year wonder? Is Casey Middlestadt anymore than a 3rd-4th line grinder? Will Peyton Krebs take the next step? Are Quinn and Peterka core line mates? Is Eric Comrie coming into his prime or just got lucky in a short period of time? Will Victor Goalofsson live up to the 4.75M we just gave him? Will Dylan Cozens take the next step? The one thing I know for sure is that Buffalo has a solid pipeline of youth that the likes of Ottawa and Detroit don't although Detroit's prospect pool is still pretty solid but now that they're going for it I see them depleting some of those prospects to get better now.

I can't argue with a 2 time cup winning formula, if it ain't broke don't fix it...Keep it! I thought the Anthony Cirelli deal was an absolute steal, he is never going to be a Stamkos type goal scorer but he does it all and can still put up 45-50 points a season. That will be a bargain in 2 years plus he's only 24 years old, I really like what TB has done and should be a Cup contender for years to come.

Mittlestadt is our 2nd line C over Cozens? Man I hope not. Pretty much what I expected with the additions of Jack Quinn/JJ Peterka. We can only hope that we get the 2nd half of the Sabres and that the additions of Quinn/Peterka/Comrie put us over the top but that's a whole lot of hope. Great stuff though thanks for taking the time. So who are we guessing to be the Captain? I hope it's Tuch but it will most likely be Okposo.
