I have an understanding of the meaning of apparently. Further I'm sorry if you took my post as aimed at you. Notice I said posters. I can't count the trades the Sabres could have made ect. ect. I stand by my statement "posters".
-
Thank you. So tired of posters saying definitive statements when they have no definitive facts to back it up. Don't need to do that to emphasize what we already know about this franchise.

RJ States this will be His Final Year Announcing Sabres Games

Those guys were great. RJ is their equal in hockey and we're so lucky to have had him right here in Buffalo. -

Unlike Dunleavy. Like the guy but on radio I have no idea of what's happening. Hope he improves. -
Assuming No Deal, Do You Expect Jack To Show Up To Camp?
Radar replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
Just assign A's to three players. -
Sorry, but I honestly don't think it would effect the Sabre fan base. The damage to that is caused by losing and bad management. Eichel going to New York or Boston would have same effect as his going anywhere else. It strengths the opponent is all.

I'm with PA on this. This thread should be for credible rumors and speculation as much as it's possible to do that. Not for posters to propose trades. Could just have another thread for that. I'm a party pooper.
-
Hasn't worked with me. I was giving Jack and advisors the benefit of doubt but their media campaign has turned me into more anti Eichel than swayed me toward support. Frankly he's acting immature and entitled. A disease found common with professional athletes but stll unattractive to me.
-
Personally I dislike commercials although I see the necessity. Normally I even mute them.
-
I would hope so. Even injured we should get more than we got for those other two but that's not saying much. Jack is injured and until he's healed and playing at paxt level we're going to sell low if we trade him just to be rid of this mess.
-
Your speaking as the seller. Try to look at it objectively as the buyer. Without recovery from surgery or by rehab and playing at his past level his value, I think , is greatly decreased. If it wasn't for the relationship problems I'm sure we would not be looking at taking less at this time but I fear we're going to take much less than us fans like.
-
A fifth is better than losing him on waivers. Sure we would claim him and if not us some team would. He can't go to the AHL without clearing waivers.
-
My guess is they would trade him for anything before waiving him. Pretty sure they could get something for him.
-
I also think this injury and likely some kind of surgery is lowering the offers making a trade unlikely before training camp. KA can't afford a bad trade. On the flip side neither can a GM trading for him take the risk with Jack's medical issues of giving up a great amount in the unlikely case that Jack doesn't get back to his normal level. I think he needs to have some kind of surgery and any trade would be after that and before the trade deadline.

Pegulas New Bills Stadium Proposal a Public and Private Partnership
Radar replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
This is true. I guess I'm just fed up with professional sports and their greed. But what's new it's true throughout our society. Money changes hands openly or privately and we the average guy flip the bill. Cynical? You bet. -
I would think this pretty much puts to rest an Eichel trade for the foreseeable future. Any trade now would be for a very reduced return I would think.
-
If the other team doesn't have cap room then they need money out or retaining salary. Seems sensible.

A Serious Sports Psychology Question about culture and losing.

Was that book by Coach Wooden by chance? -
Rivet is a company man. Peters at least is ,in my opinion, objective, and not condescending. We disagree on Peters.
-
I can't stand Rivet. Good player but on the Instigators he's just nauseating. Peters and Marty are fine. Don't bother with those 3pm guys at all.
-
You're not that old on this site, unless of course you've changed names. Maybe you are the terrible poster. Just sayin.
-
I like him as well. I hope he succeeds.
-
Maybe even after the end of season interviews I had hopes of Eichel being here. Since then I have no hopes of his being here even next year.
-
I'm disappointed he's gone but I don't think at this time I would have given him the contract Boston did.
-
I think his injury history plus goalies in pipeline made them not wanting four years. JMO. Wish they didn't wait to the last minute same for Rhinehart.
