    Your are right, but, and this is a big but, Their GM sucked for years after... Could not find, and can not find the players around him to complete the task. GMTM has told us all, it's not the early first round pick's that matter because anyone can select them, a true good GM finds the late hidden round gems. You need the 2-4 top five picks on a team, plus a good GM.

    No Frickin way Dude!! How do you watch hockey! The TV was created and made in High Def. for the sole purpose of better hockey experience at home! T.V. = Totalhockey at home Viewingexperience. But in all seriousness, I completely understand, there is no TV for us from mid April through Mid September. To much life to enjoy and to little time to enjoy it.

    Thank you Eleven for starting this little game!! It seems to have eased some tensions and brought humor back, a nice side benefit besides driving LGR4GM batty as to who is and how we are baiting him.

    I hope by putting into words your dislike of the current weather conditions helps ease the suffering. Because I believe you are already fully aware we (we, as in millions of people in the North Eastern U.S.) have been there and done that for three months. I'm going to say this in the nicest possible way, and I apologize in advance, but Thank goodness it's N.S. and not me. Sorry.....

    I want 30th place, I accepted losing for this small time period in franchise history to obtain the next Perreault. 2 years of fan sacrifice is worth 10 years of fan glory. I will be upset to have the third pick after the last two seasons, I will consider the goal as not being obtained and we have "lost" this years' objective. My epiphany happened the day DR was let go, I knew as a fan the ride was going to get wild. Which was all I wanted after years off trekking down the straight and flat Darcy highway of mediocrity. To me that was the true fan WIN, and not a lottery draft position. Unacceptable to me is to be where the Leafs are at. So low that it will be years, if ever, to get the stench of incompetence from that locker room and their management offices. If the Leafs win the draft lottery, they will still be a complete mess 10 years from now. If the Sabres get the 3rd or 4th pick, so be it, I'm still confident that next year we will be sniffing the playoffs and the following year we will be debating how deep we are going to go come play off time. I'm a Sabres fan, yes I'm at a low point. But I can still point to 3 franchises as say, "I'm still way better off than the fans of those losers". It may be petty, but I know what is in the stable, and the future is bright.

    I took the quote as an uppercut to Bettman. Not only do I get McEichel this year, but we could just miss the playoffs next year and have a chance to win the lottery again. Just missing the playoffs is a reasonable assumption. I picture the Sabres having a very similar season as the Senators are having this year. Which would be a lot a fun!!!
