  1. I like the tractor! Go Bio! Go Bio! Go Bio!
  2. If my memory is correct, he said it in the locker room following the pre-season brawl with Toronto.
  3. I'll search again, and the Sabres defensive injuries are not updated often, but I could have sworn that Ruhwedel is injured.
  4. Princess Phaneuf A John Scott saying that has stuck.
  5. Thank you thesportsbuff for hooking me up. This was the first game I've been able to watch this preseason. I shall sleep well.
  6. He shouldn't be on the ice over Kaleta either, let alone Larsson. He had a nice 10 seconds on the penalty kill, but one of the few times tonight the Leaf announcers where on the money was in saying the Leafs completely let him do that, no one took Legwand out of the play.
  7. I was hoping for more out of Legwand. Not bad, just vanilla-ish.
  8. It's official for me. Every time is see the name Guhle I will picture a goalie in a Halloween costume.
  9. Guhle As I've been reading his name in my mind I've pronounced it Gull, as in sea gull. Today on WGR they where saying his name as Ghoul-lee. Before I just assume that I am wrong and there is no way WGR people mispronounced a name, I thought I'd ask around.
  10. That sounds like a terrible job, but I suppose some one has to do it.
  11. Thanks shrader for ruining it for the rest of us. And I second the motion, get back to work. :nana:
  12. There is a thread for that now, and its WAY more fun than this thread. But you already know that because you've posted there. Just sayin in the nicest possible way...
  13. I'm sorry that Smell was unable to help you relive a very memorable moment in Aud history. For me it wasn't even a hockey game that has my fondness memory. It was the Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini fight. Please let me tell.. One of my best friends and I got tickets to a premier boxing event. Ray "Boom Boom " Mancini vs. Livingstone Bramble. At the time I had no idea that this was a historic fight in a boxing crazed city (young and clueless), but we went because we thought it would be fun. I believe (total memory recall) we sat in the 300 level. Like watching ants box from there, but the smell and sounds....... I have total appreciation for Aud's memory from his smell, because that's the most memory I have from that event. Everything lofted up to us, the smell, the sounds, except the sight of what was happening in the ring. As smell has said, take me back one more time.....
  14. He has already left his scent in the song thread. He was the reason (in my mind) this thread was started. He would not be impressed by your lack of olfactory senses. ********************************* no way, man. the aud smell was a proprietary blend of roasted peanuts, stale beer, boiled hot dogs, and cigarettes. bit of a tangent: i sat next to a lady the other day - a casual acquaintance through a kid's team - and she was wearing a fragrance that an old flame had worn. BOOM. i knew immediately who the old flame was (i'm talking like 20+ years ago) and what the name of the perfume was. a further aside: i used some excellent advice i got here (from whom?) and politely, non-creepily asked whether her fragrance was _____ (what i thought it was) -- fragrance is the key term. i felt totally okay asking, and she responded in a way that seemed to make it clear that i was okay to have asked. anyhoo. smells. man, are they the shiznit. i wish, wish, wish i could smell the scent of the old barn again. i think i would cry. in fact, i know i would. **************************************** I know Shrader you are at least a few years younger than I am. I really hope that you where able to take a game in at the Aud.
  15. Beef on weck with horseradish
  16. Last part of the article hit the nail on the head. "the vultures are likely circling for a reason"
  17. You are forever burned in my mind as the creepy grin guy no matter what you put as a new avatar. And I like it! Makes me laugh every time you post!
  18. Is that how the "Aud Smell" originated?
  19. Was between The Boys are Back and Swords of a Thousand Men. I voted for Swords Of A Thousand Men, it's different, unique. Not sure any other arena would ever play that as a goal song. Sabre Dance for 5 seconds is most preferred.
  20. I understand. It's when a relevant and important topic is brought up as a some what related tangent in a thread, that should warrant a new thread. The Leaf card deal is a perfect example.
  21. One hundred fifty cents? One hundred fifty pucks to the groin? One hundred and fifty angry Eleven smack downs? Not so sure I'd be accepting your offer with out some further clarification.
  22. Hockeystreams has the Sept 23rd preseason game listed as on their schedule.
  23. While I completely agree with you... You have much more at stake than the rest of us calling everyone north (I think this geographically correct, as I have been corrected previously, thank you for that) of Brooklyn a Marchandian. Of coarse if the MIL ever asks I will tell her you meant it in the nicest possible way.
  24. I went canoe camping once. Tipped over when I was sleeping. Never do it again.
