  1. That's cause you score regularly.
  2. We raised a glass and toasted last night to our veterans at our family gathering. A simple toast: May God bless those and their families that have served.
  3. Sorry about my pointy-ness. My point was more that they where schooled by living it, much like the young and the current form of social media. When we where young our fondest memories where of the best of the best of NHL broadcasting league wide. We didn't know how good it was. Our standards are high, amongst the highest in the NHL. Rob is hardly low on the NHL list of color guys. Unfortunately we may never be so blessed again. You just watched the national talent Dumbarry, Ray is a genius in comparison and a better human. Dumbarry is the standard, not Lorenz. Sad.....
  4. And Jim wasn't great overnight. There is no one pairing that will replace a broadcasting duo born in the era of radio dominance of sporting events. We had the best of both worlds. While we are at it lets get a generational talent for quater back and a first pairing set of defense men in the later rounds of the draft. Easy peasy. Just keep drafting/replacing broadcaster and sooner or later the squirel will find the blind nut.
  5. Who is this Doug you speak of?
  6. All hail Wild and his GDT ! I will offficially be relived of being my niece's minion while in Orlando for tonight's game. Shorts, poolside and hockey. Very excited.
  7. It's the reason he gets a pass from me. I'd rather have a good guy with a few verbal faux pas rather than a slick talking douche.
  8. Like a... Smell's guide to groins? New thread worthy.
  9. Honor for Teppo. Thought he would be a good coach for the way Risto, Pysyk and McCabe play.
  10. I'm sure you've theorized about more than just Bogo's groin.
  11. It's obvious she didn't start your morning out right.
  12. Optimist.
  13. I had to google that. Not good on my history search. Bad Bun, Bad bad bad. In a fun nice way.
  14. So our *win* was pure luck? Still good on Legwand for rising above it all and be what this team needed.
  15. Probably in poor taste to do any monk milk jokes?
  16. I see know what your getting at. We can call the post Drury/Briere till the captians neophyte era the dark ages.
  17. That's not sarcasm. No way.
  18. It's been a long time, but I remember him being a very bad person. My memory was a combination of Benedict Arnold and Osama Bin Laden. Watched the V for Vendetta movie and found it entertaining, never thought someone would find it historical.
  19. The torches are to be passed Reinhart/ROR/Bogo/Eichel/Girgs . A core group that is filled with leaders. We're good. They may wind up short term contract players Gionta and Legwand, but they know their roles and are excelling.
  20. First off, I completely took this as sarcasm, and laughed. But as I have been told, using a different color for sarcasm really helps. Especially for those on portable devices.
  21. I'm made 43 seconds of that video. I'm not proud of it. It's 43 seconds I'll never get back.
  22. It's them stat people that will try to convince us otherwise, and they would be very hard to counterpoint. But outstanding leadership had to be on GMTM's radar, he knew Legwand for a few years right? I'm just trying to make sure there wasn't a great deal of luck involved.
  23. It is working out that Gionta and Legwand are turning into some excellent mentors. I only get to listen to WGR for a short period of time but more than once I've heard interviews that their play on the ice may not have been stellar to this point, but the locker room is theirs and is run well. The vibe I get it's not a "us against the world" locker room. It's a "we are good, and can be very good with hard work". GMTM may have won the Lehner trade, not because of Lehner, but because Legwand may be worth a late first rounder worth of leadership.
  24. Comic Sans MS else sarcasm is a terrible thing to waste.
