Ontario is getting what they are calling the fourth wave and it is mainly Delta. Over 70% of the population have both shots so we will see how that stands up. We have a mixture of Astra-Zeneca, Pfizer and Moderna quite often in blends which could change the stats.

I wanted this resolved around the draft or the UFA period so we wouldn’t have to get to camp with or without Jack. Both sides will put their spin on it and throw the other under the bus. I hope there is still some trade discussions and someone steps up soon.

I didn’t consider Miller as a shooting option with Skinner cleaning up some garbage. I think Dahlin needs to be the hub and letting his creativity flow.

A few years ago the PP had 4 Righthanded players, Jack, Sam. Risto and Okposo. Having 4 lefties shouldn’t be much of an issue, the talent level could be.

Sam will be good in the playoffs but like most players will have a slight drop in production. He will only be in Florida for two years and be a deadline trade candidate for his UFA season. I think Florida will be a playoff team for the two years and he may end up on a bubble team in western Canada.

Plus getting away from the pressure of returning to Ontario to part the waters to the promised land. He was great but has been done for a while now.

There were blood clot issues here with the Astra-Zeneca vaccine. Many people did not want it even though it was a one in hundreds of thousands odds. I was willing to take it but ended up getting Pfizer as #1 and Moderna as #2.

I know no one uses offer sheets but how about Sorokin from the Isles? He’s not a top level guy that would cost a lot of draft capital and he is way better than what we have. Yes the hopium is kicking in.

Add a Bryson from Buffalo and get their 1st. I am in.

Something could shake loose from Dallas. They have Bishop, Khudobin, Holtby and Oettinger. Bishop has had injury issues and may not be ready for Oct. Khudobin is a solid 1B that took them to the finals last year. Holtby has declined but is an NHL goalie. Oettinger is their goalie of the future and may be ready now.

I agree these are three solid goaltending prospects. Between these three there should be one NHLer. My hope is that we get a 1A & 1B tandem that backs the Sabres for quite a few years.

It must be love of the game and the chance to mentor someone and give back to the game. His wife battled cancer a few years back so I would think he would want more quality time with his family. Another motivator for guys this age is to have their kids watch them play.

Just saw that Torts may be joining the ESPN broadcast crew, I am interested in hearing some of his comments. I wonder what kind of filter he will have.

I am no analytics guy but they should trade a LHD to Seattle for Borgen to get a better balance. Add some grit to the D as well.

He also had leadership ability which will help in this position. Interesting to see if he likes this, does a good job and moves up the ladder.

I voted yes not because I have any insight or gut feelings on it. I just want this to end, I am tired of the drama. I’ve enjoyed his talent but he wasn’t my favourite Sabre and he definitely was not ready for the Captaincy so get rid of him please.
