What is your Grade for the Sabres Draft?
French Collection replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
I have very similar grades for day 1 & 2 as well as the overall draft. Savoie will be an NHLer, his ceiling is Brayden Point. Östlund like Krebs could be a Gilmour type. Kulich is a nice pick and could be a Palat type of player. The grade is A on day 1. I think Leinonen was early but if they felt he was the best goalie and someone may scoop him then I’m ok with it. Neuchev could be a solid pick. I listened to a podcast geared at Russian prospects and he was near the top. Lindgren could be in the NHL in 4 years, he has skill and pedigree, I like this pick. Richard is a late ‘04 who finished really well in the USHL and should be a top guy there this year. The rest are just hopium shots in my opinion. B+ for day two. It will take a few years to get a good grasp of this draft but I believe the Sabres will be near the top of the heap and they should supplant the LA Kings as having the deepest prospect pool. -
I think he may play in all three leagues next year. He has probably grown out of the MHL and should get games in the VHL with the occasional bench warming call up to the KHL.

I am getting the feeling that they will gamble on Holtby for two years. If he and/or Anderson breaks then they get a taste of UPL. Subban or Dell may be the other Rochester guy. I think Campbell will want too much term for KA’s plan and he won’t get into a bidding war for Kuemper. There are still some possibilities on the trade front but the draft currency is now ‘23 and ‘24.

I do not think so and his Elite Prospects page doesn’t show him being drafted in the CHL.
-
This will be the best talent at a Sabres development camp that I can recall. I am really anxious to see clips and interviews.
-
The picture of him in the gym does not look like a 165 lb kid.
-
It would be nice to have depth where a guy that can’t make your team is too good for the AHL so he is traded for something you need.
-
This kid has some nice highlights, he could turn into something. IIRC there were some lists that had him in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

I would’ve loved to see them roll out Murray and Mrzak, their fan base would lose their minds.

Senators Goalie Matt Murray says No to a Sabres Trade
French Collection replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Matt Murray is from Thunder Bay Ontario, hometown of Carter Hutton. -
He wants to reunite with Dubas and Keefe. He will be the chosen one to return Toronto to the top of the heap.

Pre draft there were many posters who wanted to draft a goalie. I was in this camp and I believe they should take one every year so that there is a pipeline. Most feel that this was too early but it is the guy they wanted. There is another goalie prospect in the ranks.

Is Nedelkovic now available from the Wings? Stevie Y probably keeps him as insurance.
-
I know some of his family members, that is it
-
Same thing except I am in North Bay.
-
2002 born, not the greatest stats. He must be a defensive specialist C.
-
Liam Arnsby, was as high as the 2nd round earlier in the season. Not a big scorer but plays gritty and has leadership qualities.
-
I think that is what I heard. He was pointless his first 5 games.
-
If he stays in Q for another year or two he can turn pro here instead of the KHL.
-
Sportsnet just said he scored 46 points in his last 40 games in the USHL.
-
6’2 183 RHD. 19 pts in 60 games in the Q. 4 pts in 12 playoff games. Plays for Patrick Roy in Quebec City.
-
Dman Mats Lindgren
-
Otto Salin
-
Another Elias Pettersson too.

Added numbers, hope it helps
