  1. Kamloops vs Winnipeg would guarantee the Ice a spot in the Memorial Cup. I’m curious to watch Seattle though, Lambert, Milic.
  2. I think Cozens enjoyed it last year and would go back but he wants to get healthy and focus on the upcoming season. He said a lot of his training will be in London Ontario again.
  3. My Swedish is a little rusty but I translated some of it. It sounds like he flew in yesterday. That would indicate he wants to look around Rochester and get a feeling for the place and the league. KA must be happy about a first rounder thinking of coming over sooner than later.
  4. Is that contractually possible? He has signed his ELC with Buffalo.
  5. Probably helps keep NHL eyes off their guys, or the military.
  6. The Linus bridge has been burned I would think. Both sides would probably balk at that move. If he was to return, Levi would carry the mail in the playoffs anyway. Sandpaper is needed. I think it will arrive in a UFA signing or two. Graves? Wood? Killorn? Maybe a trade can bring some in. Calgary could alter their roster and move on from a D and a guy like Coleman. Cap dumps will happen between the draft and July 1st. Grit should be available. If the Sabres move on from Girgs and KO then grittier options need to be brought in.
  7. His hockey IQ may be senior to Risto. The extra penalties hurt, especially with the Sabres current PK.
  8. I would think he can. He played for Moscow Dynamo. I am more excited to see this guy than Neuchev. He has been playing a year and a half in the KHL and is not even 20 yet. He may only need a year in Rochester. He could end up being the big stay at home guy we are all wanting.
  9. I thought he looked in great shape in that picture. Plus, it was from a year ago. He was a one man team with his junior team, scoring 40 while no one else was close. It will be interesting to watch him and he should develop more in Rochester than in the KHL.
  10. Kids don’t have the attention span to watch an entire game. They should add that as a filter option.
  11. That’s a great thing I remember seeing in PK Subban as well. They named a hospital wing in Montreal in his honour after he gave them a few million dollars.
  12. I watched Bloom play last night, no big loss.
  13. Sometimes a big name will go once to experience it and to try and add it to their resume. Crosby went once and won. I get the Ryan Smyth vibe from Cozens, he won’t go as often because the Sabres will be in playoff runs.
  14. Heading to bed. Winnipeg is up 4-1 after 2 periods. Savoie with 1G 2A so far. 25 points in 13 playoff games.
  15. Bjorkstrand had 2 in game 7 vs Colorado plus he hit 3 posts.
  16. As the series goes on they start to hate each other and the intensity ratchets up, provided they are pretty evenly matched. That can draw me into it.
  17. Quebec(Komarov) beats Gatineau(Nadeau) to take a 3-0 lead in the Q semifinals. Quebec has won 11 straight games.
  18. This is great for Quinn’s confidence, he may break out there like Cozens did last year. Power became their 1D during his draft year. I hope Levi gets some games and steals the net. Julien gave him nothing in the Olympics.
  19. He gets hurt a lot, I’d rather have Varlamov.
  20. Good win, glad I don’t have to listen to Craig Simpson anymore tonight.
  21. He declined during locker clean out day.
  22. That’s great, get him here ASAP. Kisakov should help with his acclimation. This kid could become something, maybe better than VO, in a few years. I’m excited to see how he does, even at dev.&rookie camps. The more talent the Sabres have the better the lineup. If there becomes a surplus, move some out for improvements or futures.
  23. Saros, Shesterkin, Raanta. Lundqvist talked about this a bit the other night on TNT.
  24. Drury would still want multiple assets. 1st overall pick may need a change of scenery and someone to smarten him up.
  25. Thomas Milic, goalie for the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL, is having a great playoff. He had a .928 sv% in the regular season and has upped that number to .956 in ten playoff games. He plays for a powerhouse team but those are impressive numbers. He was also Canada’s goalie at the WJHC. He just turned 20 and is undrafted.
