Accepting payment as a Federal employee is an extreme pain in the ass. It is true there are nominal limits we can accept. It as strict as if you are bringing pizza in for a lunchtime employee-only meeting, each employee has to pay in with cash. If we go to a restaurant, separate checks for everyone. And we’re not just talking about Federal employees at-risk for being bribed (judge, law enforcement, IRS, etc). We’re talking everyone. That we can’t even buy stuff for internal colleagues is ridiculous.

I hope this is real. But it sounds like someone has been reading Sabrespace.

2022 NHL Draft Combine: May 30th-June 4th, Buffalo NY

You almost have to interview Lambert. If anything, just to do a postmortem on what exactly happened and why. Would be good information to have in grading/interpreting prospects in coming years. -
Offseason Gameplan 2022 - Solving the goaltending system wide.

KO is the de facto Captain. He’ll be presented a contract, but it will be on the low side for limited term. Nevertheless, it’ll be his decision whether he wants to stay or not, not necessarily KAs. -
I don’t think he’ll want to go home. It’s obvious he’s not going to make the Sabres roster. That’s 100% unrealistic. However, he did sign his contract with us, which he didn’t have to do. He could’ve played another season in Sweden minus the contract.
-
My guess is that the way he was handled last season didn’t sit well with him. He may realize he’ll be in a better place if he is playing closer to his ultimate goal.

Take careful notes on the number of pull-ups for each individual and report back. -
Amerks bound? Can’t remember if he still has a SHL contract to honor.

Fun fact: “Take me Home, Country Roads” was actually inspired by Clopper Rd in Montgomery County, MD, a county right outside of DC. While it is no longer a “country road”, it was back then. I don’t think this is the angle of them playing this song at a Caps game though.

Sabres Announce They Signed 2021 Second Round Pick Kisakov to an ELC

I couldn’t even bulk up until well into my 30s. Wright just didn’t stay on. So, agreed, frame matters a lot. Of course, I wasn’t signed to a professional sports team where it would’ve been my job to gain weight. Maybe I could’ve done it, but I still don’t have a large frame. That genetic. -
If he’s able to maturely articulate that he himself has probably been his biggest developmental burden, I might take him at 16. If he starts spouting excuses, then you politely wrap up the interview. Wouldn’t take him without speaking with his dad either.
-
Well, you never say never is his business. If he’s given an offer he can’t refuse, then he’ll listen. A trade offer. But, an offer sheet is him going out looking for a deal, not a deal coming to him. All that said, a goalie is probably the only position he’d consider.
-
KA was pretty clear he was going to select players with all his picks. He’s not going to give away that many picks for a single player. We’ve been down that road before.

The issue is why the NHLPA is even involved with them. They are amateur players and have never signed or played with any professional team, NHL or otherwise.

Offseason Gameplan 2022 - Solving the goaltending system wide.

I would go even longer than that. Probably 4. Great teams need more than one competent goaltender at all times. I would prefer one bird in the bush now and see if we can’t get a 2nd one in there in the next 1-2 years, either UPL or Levi or whoever. Let the best one of all play the most games, but still go with the 1A/1B model. But, hope is not a strategy for any of our of goalie prospects to work out. We need a true starter next season. -
You said it only had a 99.5% chance of happening as scheduled. So, this would fall under the 0.5% of not happening. Or, a 0.5% chance of it 100% not happening on Tuesday.

Draft lottery…
-
Let’s use an extreme example. Suppose you have 2 people. Person 1 plays the lottery only once and has an odds of winning 1 in 300M. Now, suppose Person 2 lives for over 900M years (or better yet, has an infinite lifespan) and plays the same lottery once per day for their whole life. Person 2 does not have the same odds of winning over their lifespan (that’s the key here) than person 1.

Is Muel playing. That’s all we need to know. -
Yeah, would want to grab him with the 15th and Nemec or Jiricek with ours.

So, who’s the Mike Peca or ROR in this draft? Wouldn’t mind a nasty shutdown center with the potential to put up 50-60 pts.

Thoughts on an Alternative to the Draft Lottery Format
kas23 replied to Taro T's topic in The Aud Club
Can’t imagine this. It would be like our drafted NCAA players entering graduating from college each year. Wouldn’t be able to take it around here. -
Didn’t we do that twice? Sounds like a Yogi Berra quote.
