This season’s goal was never to make the playoff, but to progress. So, I still want to keep to the Adams and Granato plan. Play the future. Since we are already at the point, let them feel the heat of trying to make the playoffs. They’ll either elevate their game or make their way off the team. Either way, the team will ultimately benefit.

Agreed. Both Kevyn and Donny have shown a clear pattern of giving young players the room to struggle in order to get better. They will struggle until they improve.

I got to see my first Sabres game last night in over 15 years, the amount of time I’ve been away from Buffalo. I haven’t really seen the need to see them in enemy territory before. I took my son and daughter, who saw their first hockey game. It was a priceless treat and Tage put on a scoring clinic. I’ve seen that shot on highlight reels, but never in real life. It’s something to behold. My son left asking if we could see a Sabres game in Buffalo so he “could cheer along with the goals.” After much beer, despite being in DC, it certainly didn’t stop me, but there was a lot of blue and gold around us. What’s the point of all this? Tage is special and this team has something going. There’s been getting butts in seats. Let me tell you, Buffalo has special teams for the first time in eternity. If you’ve been hesitant to taking in some games, now is the time to go. There’s no reason the arena shouldn’t be sold out nightly.

Not officially. I’m just assuming this based on his head movements. But, from another view, it looks like he was adjusting his helmet. The 5 seconds I got from the point of impact (which was supposedly initiated the event) until he begins to fall, but this too may be hard to gauge due to the speed of the replay.

I’ll be at the game tonight. Don’t know if I’ll be in the mood to scream when the Sabres score though.

Here’s the issue I have with the V fib story. He took the hit, got up and was talking to teammates, then he suddenly dropped. So, about 5 seconds passed between the hit and the collapse. Now, he could be in V fib for those 5 seconds before anoxia to the brain caused him to drop. If we assume that he did indeed have V fib, which is a shockable rhythm, did they defibrillate after 2 minutes of CPR? Then seemed to do 9 min of CPR, which is indicated, but they should’ve been shocking in between sets.

We have goal scorers. Looking at our current roster, we will eventually need players to fill in our 3rd/4th line. Are you suggesting these types of players are needed more than a 3/4 defenseman? is Savoie this type of player? I get it Savoie is highly touted and am not suggesting he a bust, but you need to trade quality for quality. No one else in our pipeline would really move the needle for Chychrun and I’m not moving the 2023 1st.

I’d trade them Savoie and change for Chychrun. Even though I’m hesitant based on his injury history.
