Eichel thrown under the bus by Vegas HC Bruce Cassidy
kas23 replied to matter2003's topic in The Aud Club
Maybe this is closer to the problem than we think. We all know talent alone cannot make a player elite. The ones that become elite usually train and prepare well above and beyond than the next guy. McKinnon is a great example. Talent players that just go with the flow are the ones that either fall out of the league or in the best case scenario, become like Jack. He has elite talent, but is not someone you lean on to elevate your team. I still think the Sabres will win a cup before Jack does. -
Eichel thrown under the bus by Vegas HC Bruce Cassidy

To me, Eichel is like a broken fax machine. -
I don’t see them terminating him. If I were making his salary, I sure as heck wouldn’t agree to it. We already know no team is willing to pay him what he’s making now. Sure, he may want to take a pay cut and play, but it’s just temporary. He’ll be a free agent at the end of the season. He can play next year, but still don’t see him getting the money the Sabres gave him.

UPL is having a good game. He needs some offense though.

I agree. And I don’t know if there is a psychology of a team playing better (or worse) in front of specific goalies, but we have seen lackluster play for Anderson’s last 2 starts. We’re in a playoff race though, so I’m not interested in trying to tease out the reasons for Anderson losing. Easier just to shelf him and revisit later. -

Has Anderson tweaked his lower body yet? Maybe at this morning’s skate. -

I went to school at Cornell. What a beautiful and chill place to pick to live. -
Kevyn should to text him to see if he bleeds blue and gold again.

I love how we’re closing out these OTs.

And just think, would TNT ever been tried at C, let alone 1C, with Jack here? Probably not.

Blake Wheeler missed the last 3 weeks with a ruptured testicle...

This would make me immediately retire. -
This season’s goal was never to make the playoff, but to progress. So, I still want to keep to the Adams and Granato plan. Play the future. Since we are already at the point, let them feel the heat of trying to make the playoffs. They’ll either elevate their game or make their way off the team. Either way, the team will ultimately benefit.

How can this be? KA didn’t sign any free agents.

I got to see my first Sabres game last night in over 15 years, the amount of time I’ve been away from Buffalo. I haven’t really seen the need to see them in enemy territory before. I took my son and daughter, who saw their first hockey game. It was a priceless treat and Tage put on a scoring clinic. I’ve seen that shot on highlight reels, but never in real life. It’s something to behold. My son left asking if we could see a Sabres game in Buffalo so he “could cheer along with the goals.” After much beer, despite being in DC, it certainly didn’t stop me, but there was a lot of blue and gold around us. What’s the point of all this? Tage is special and this team has something going. There’s been getting butts in seats. Let me tell you, Buffalo has special teams for the first time in eternity. If you’ve been hesitant to taking in some games, now is the time to go. There’s no reason the arena shouldn’t be sold out nightly.

Buffalo Bills: Damar Hamlin collapsed and taken to hospital
kas23 replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Not officially. I’m just assuming this based on his head movements. But, from another view, it looks like he was adjusting his helmet. The 5 seconds I got from the point of impact (which was supposedly initiated the event) until he begins to fall, but this too may be hard to gauge due to the speed of the replay.
